Default Teflon tape?

Good or bad for the oil feed into the turbo? I am getting a small seeping out of the fitting.....

I have blue loctite and teflon tape just trying to see what I should use

Finally got the ST80 put on

I have never been a fan of the tape. The ARP thread sealer( tefflon paste ) is not much more than the tape and you know that you will have a good seal.

I never use tape because it can get into the oil line and cause trouble.
Also, when you use the teflon paste it is nice to be able to adjust the
fitting a little without having to pull everthing apart and re-tape.

i use paste but if it wont seal (like my fuel rails) then i use tape...no probs...just have to use some common sense and not leave it hanging over an opening or something before connecting fittings

I use the Permatex hi-temp paste. When I used to use the tape I would find bits of it in the oil, so I stopped using it.

Yes, don't use the tape. Most hydraulic companies don't allow tape to be used for that very reason, they use pipe dope instead. Bob
