I think that Kevin is being much too modest about the car. He never had to really work on the car the entire weekend, and it ran like bracket car... very consistent. Hope you get that 8.99 next time out... And thanks for lending us some tools.

I was right across from PSJ, it was kind of a weird spot, I couldnt find my own trailer a couple times. Its kind of hard to pick out a certain black trans am with Bogarts and a chute, there was probbaly a dozen of them lol.

How many passes did you make with that engine???
It has a little over 300 on it now, I stopped counting after 250 really. Still doesnt smoke, has great oil pressure and leakdown and is still running new best times. Its really a testament to how well one of these can hold up even around the 1000fwhp level. I am starting to see some signs on the head gaskets leaking a little but with 165-170* IATs through the lights I'm sure there was a little detonation here and there. I usually dont like to run the F1A in that warm of weather, this intercooler really isnt up to the task with the bigger blower nearly maxed out unless its pretty cool out. I really need to do an A2W..

Not sure, cant imagine anyone wanting to buy it with that many passes on it so most likely I'll just keep it around as a spare.

At least you got a bigass trophy My car did fine, I screwed up second round but I would have never been able to make it to the finals anyhow. Next time if they do it the same way I'll skip Friday and stay Monday instead.

Thats a long ride straight through, glad you made it back OK. Pretty impressive to drive a car halfway across the country and run 9s on street tires and drive it back.

I'm not that worried about it, 1.1 hundredths of a second is close enough in my book lol.

I'm more pissed about screwing up second round of the real race, not that I could have stayed to the final anyhow. I'm going to put an air shifter in the car, the 1st to 3rd thing will never happen again

Congrats on the index win, lot of rounds to go through, what time did they finally get around to running the final out of curiosity?

I kept watch of your rounds on NMCA.....your 0.0xx packages must have been multiple car length wins. Very impressive for a fast FI car.

How did you miss second...pull twice?

Na, I have a pro stick in the car, you pull a the little lever to go into high and when I made the 1-2 shift I grabbed the lever by mistake and pulled it into third - just tired and not putting my hand in the proper position before I let go of the brake. Problem is there is no gate to stop it from going back in 1st if I tried to put it back in 2nd so I just rode it out. 9.21 isnt bad skipping second I guess, had an .04x something light against the .21x light beside me but he only ran .002 off - was close at the end but just not enough..
