I am going with a single plane,a gmpp,it gives about a half inch more clearence on the hood and cowl than the victor jr.I have read every thread and gotten every opinion I could drag out of anybody on these intakes for forced induction and there is no clear cut answer to which is better.Obviously the ls6 works great and is probably the best for the money.I prefer not to spend the money for a wilson unless they are really that much better, so I am trying the one in the middle, the single plane. If it turns out to be the wrong decision I wll change to another design later.

their is a lot of info on intakes have a look https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-induction/815286-best-intake-manifold-turbo-kit.html

8-9 pages-so get a coffee and have a read-

so many point's of view-

ls6 is a proven performer-cheap
single plane like the vic jnr+gmpp with a elbow is cheap and i like the look also-but the vic needs a bit of love to get going which is still cheap

the fast 90 is good in n/a and others reckon its no good in fi so look into that before buying

sheetmetals-ahmm i reckon imo-i would have to run serious boost for me to spend $2,000 +

wilson-well again some say it works-others say it dont-others say its overated- it looks killer- i give it that much but for $3,000 i would want it to perform and also look like a million dollars also

kurt from w2w has tested the wilson sheetmetal over a ls6 or fast-but i dont know the results-

have a look at that thread-lots of good input-

if u dont-its your money @ the end of the day-

The problem is no one knows when it is coming out.
It's on their site now and I noticed quite a few other sites have the item on their's. Summit has the carb version with the conversion box and it says it will ship out 12/7/07. I'm just hoping the EFI version comes out soon so I can put it on my Christmas list.

I think that's mostly because of some of the radical elbows people are running on them. I haven't seen any forced induction setups where someone is running a 4150 style TB, but I've seen a few nitrous motors and they never had any problems. Granted they weren't cramming compressed air in there either.

Maybe the wilson elbow. I still don't know what the advantge is on the single plane. Kurt said he tested an LS6 manifold on the engine backwards, and #7 still had issues. Measured EGT's on all the cylinders, none of them lean. So with that info, the single plain gives you what advantage over a composite or sheetmetal?
