PTK/S kit users, question.
On those kits, is the turbo high enough to be gravity drained if plumbing into the oil pan? and you still get to use the stock K-member right?
Also to plum the oil pan do i have to remove the engine or can i take teh pan out with the engine still in the body?
thanks in advance!

yes and yes
I did mine without removing it from the car
but I would reccomend removing the oilpan, which can be done with the engine still in the car

you have to drop the K member I think or take the engine mounts loose and jack it up off of the K member
I have never done it myself
do you have a PTK kit or are you looking at one?

hey Frost, on one of your pictures in your sig, do you have yours draining to the timing chain cover? looks like it almost, if so did you have to switch over to a UD pully or was the stock one able to clear it?
i just noticed i had posted in that thread back in 05 lol been a long time but i'm finally going for it!

mine drains to the pan. Mine has been on the road solid for a year now at 14.5-18 psi too; knock on wood.

I got a one of these kits in my garage right now with there a2w intercooler and the turbo upgraded to a 80mm. Kit only has 500miles on it but looks brand new. Can't wait till this winter, will be a fun project. Its going on a 408 too with a viper spec t-56 and moser 9''. I know where to look if I need any answers, I've already checked out your page there frost looks good.

I used a angle drill shorten the drill bit to start, then by hand (shorten drill bit in socket) then tapped it the same way, Teflon tape changed oil no leaks. I was going to drop the pan but I tried this first? pan isn't that thick and the hole turn out looking pretty nice

I have a modified PTK bracket, I have to have my factory alternator rebuilt (using the PTK one still) before I can try out my Smokinhawk bracket.
As far as the mount.... I had this "mystery smoking" coming from the driver's side for the longest time, and I couldn't figure out what it was. It was the rubber in the mount. Seems like Countryboy may have had the same happen to him.
