another "what do you think"??? i was thinking about trying to pice together a 408 about 9:8:1 with 6.0 heads and EPP blower cam, LS6 intake, and (hears the kicker) a P1SC, now before everyone tell me to upgrade to a D1SC, it not going to be an option. The 408 will cost me all my $$$. i know that guys are going to say shoot for 8:5:1 but i want to use the extra comprestion(sp?) to make up for the P1, then after i save up the $$ ill send my P1 in for an upgrade till then ill spray meth. what do you guys think?? Will it make good power,run good ,on the street? ok guys thanks for any help

Ricky, I think you'll run out of air in the 408 w/ the P1, as I know you'll want to have higher boost on the forged engine. Bet your greedy a$$ is thinking 10PSI minimum!
My suggestion is to stick w/ the current plan (heads/cam on the 346), we'll set her up for 5-7PSI..... run it till spring when you're on the mainland, save some $$ in the process, then get the 408 + bigger ported heads w/ cheap mainland shipping. Sell the stock LS1 w/ the cam and LQ9 heads complete and use that $$ for the D1.
You can take a small vacation to Va and you, myself, and Brian (nothing like volunteering a friend
) could probably get her done w/in a week or so.

hahaahhaah thanks phill you are prob right! But just in case i cant wait till then what kinda power do you think it would make? i mean a 408 with 5lbs of boost should run good right?
Sell the P1 and wait for a used D1 to pop up, shouldnt cost you more than 500.00 and if you get lucky it shouldnt cost you more than 200.00.
IMO a D1SC is a bit small for even a medium effort 408 but it sure beats a P1SC
