Procharger is not pursuing production of a 10 rib system nor a 12 rib either.

Not for the f-body anyways. I saw where the corvette got a 10 rib system, but they are different, they use the serpentine belt, they don't have a dedicated pulley.

I bought my P used, turned it into a D, and injested a screw? So it's been gone thru twice, but never for a failure. Bob & the guys at EPP will get you pretty much whatever you need. I put an 8 rib on & it hasn't slipped up to 15 psi. I thought it was, but it turned out I screwed up an IC hose connection & it was leaking.

Pinning the crank is a must, just get some extra bits. And a 12 pk! Oh, and get a solid tensioner for the main belt too (K tech?). I threw mine at the track & it took out the PS hoses. But I have had no issues since.

I am now installing one of EPPs FMICs & twin Walbros. Fuel pressure & air temps ARE an issue when you turn the boost up.

Keep reading here & talk to Bob & you'll be fine.....

Be sure to get your crank pinned or keyed, and use SDCE's 8 rib setup, and you should be good to go.

Where is this SDCE 8 rib setup? Is it the same one that EPP offers?

SD-Concepts- they make an 8 rib kit with a spring tensioner that uses a 7.25" crank pulley.

Not the same as the ProCharger 8-rib kit (which EPP sells). The procharger version does not have a spring tensioner, its a manual tensioner same as the 6-rib kit, just wider pulleys. I am running the procharger kit personally and have not had any problems up to 15psi. I know EPP uses this setup all the time as well with great results. This kit uses a 7.65" crank pulley BTW...

So would either kit be good to use? Also, should I get the ATI superdamper too?

Most people who have the SDCE kit swear by it. I have no problems with the procharger 8 rib, so I'm happy with it. Up to you if you want to spend the $250 (or whatever the difference is nowa days) more for the tensioner system.

Yes- you need the ATI damper with either kit...

I have been breaking speed laws since March 05. I was slipping with the 6 rib set up. Then I stepped up to the SDCE set up. Thats when all belt slippage disappeared. I have had no issue with my head unit. Change you oil as per Procharger and u should not have any issues.

3 head units in 2 years? Something does not sound right. I am sure it wasn't Prochargers fault either.

The spring tensioner would be nice but I prefer the 7.65 crank pulley that comes with the ProCharger 8 rib kit. The smaller SDCE crank pulley that is a 7.25" would require a smaller head unit pulley to be used, to get the same boost that the 7.65 ProCharger pulley would deliver. We don't typically have problems with the ProCharger bracket, and we found that the larger filter that we use for boost levels above 10 psi helps eliminate any potential slippage problems. The supplied ProCharger air filter at higher boost levels becomes a restriction that places a load on the blower, which can cause belt slippage. How much of a restriction is the standard air filter? We have picked up 2 psi of boost with simply adding the larger air filter. Some of my customers have experienced similar gains as well. Bob

I'm one of those customers The bigger air filter did indeed get me 1.5~2psi on my old P1 setup. Highly recommended. And at less than $50 it may have been the cheapest mod I've done with the biggest impact!
