Just a basic turbo kit otherwise. Nothing special

They make the same hp? Same intercooler size? You don't think the cams have any affect on spool? Downpipe is the same? Exhuast is the same? TUNE is the same?

DrTurbo, do you have any compressor / turbine maps I could look at, so I can see what everyone is talking about?
Our comp maps for the FI units are below.....

Well as i stated I did not say one unit was the end all bad ***. I stated that I have had real world results and numbers at the track and dyno with a few different vehicles. No opinions just facts. I would love to compare a Bullseye unit vs. a FI unit though. I would put results up for everyone to see. I love both companies and the people who I talk to at both places. I just get a lot of vague answers as far as what they both do to the units. As I should, they are trying to be competitive after all. Dr. Turbo if you could send me your 74 I would try it and post results within a week and send it back. Or keep it if it and pay for it if it put up better numbers.

Cams increase spool time.

Intercooler size is very similar. PSI-FI piece for Exhaust Depot piece.

S256 has a 3" DP but 2 1/2" all the way back.

GT3582r has 3" all the way from turbo.

Tune is just a piggy back. AFR. Tuned by same guy on same tuning setup.

Any other questions to try and disprove my theory?

Quick look.....

GT4088R - 63.5mm inducer compare to FI-62 which is 61.51mm

GT35R - 61mm inducer compare to FI58 which is 57.89mm

GT40 - 65mm inducer compare to FI-66 which is 65.3mm

I for one wasn't impressed with the GT42-76. We couldn't get it to make more then 13 psi. Ran it at the track and that was all she had. Went back for the 2nd outing and the damn compresssor wheel hit the housing. Called up precision and had it sent back and they didn't want to warranty it. They finally did. I wasn't impressed with them at all. Swaped it out to the S88 wick is an exact match and nothing needed to be changed for it to work. Ran 1 1/2 sec faster @ 9 mph faster with 3 psi less boost. If had awsome results with BW from FI. I'm trying a few others for them and if they do what they say they will do its going to be an awsome new yr. I've used and still have other products from Precision. Maybe I just Got a bum turbo. I guess it was the customer service I wasn't impressed with.

Right on Kyle, pretty much any one with some cubes that has used a 42 or even a 47 chassis know they get backed up quick for their size.

I would like to see a untouched BW S200, S300, S400, go against both the FI.com units and the bullseye turbo's too.

Be fun to see where the baseline starts for these "hopped" up BW units.

What would you think of the GT42-76 with a .98 A/R on a stock 6 speed LS1? Im just wondering how you think it will do with smaller cubes. What about on a forged bottomend Iron block 6.0 motor?

i know for a fact there are a good few Evo guys that have their eyes on these turbos. cant wait to see the performance gains over the Gt units. and if there is a chance that they will be smaller in physical size then could you have something to match the GT4202 thats doesn't require smaller rad?

also what the major advantage of the FI units of standard BW units??

thanks Chris.

The major advantage will be size, weight, quicker spool, endless selection of covers, A/R's,,,etc,,etc.

These units will bring you the latest ETT tech, but without the cumbersome size of the BW chassis units.

Pretty much the same thing PTE has done for Garrett. GT42 shrunk to a 74/76GTS.

I love my TC76 and it is very very small and makes plenty of power for street use and its polished. FI has a great price on them.

Which kind of turbine side? I was thinking of using basic S475 with T6 1.10 a/r turbine on my 346 ls1 and T56. Would it be too restrictive and should I go to 1.32 a/r housing, after all I'm searching for early spool for good street manners and max rpms at 6500 and at the same time economical cruising...

For that power range a standard TO4E-50 would easily make 400rwhp on a 2.8L or GT30R. The FI56 will easily make those #'s as well, but might be a bit overkill for just 400-450, but it would definitely leave you some room to grow!!

What kind of power are you looking for??

Sounds like a TC76 would be a better fit for your setup.

Way too many factors there to post a comment like that...
