because even the gt47 turbine is SMALL... PTE will tell you that themselves.. they strongly recommend NOT to run a 47 turbine on a motor with cubes unless you're running two..

Correct they will be available in your normal sizes that will drop in to most PT, Turbonetics and ITS locations.

They will also be avialable with ball bearing, water cooling or non-water cooling, and all the typical A/R sizes and exhaust housings.

So, you take a BW unit and modify it to make those numbers.

Precision does the same thing the Garrett units, so isn't posting the GARRETT maps unfair?

Not at all. It gives you a good foundation to build your setup on. Also wheel flow is not effected much unless you horrbily design a unit and impede flow. Most of the units we have tested only differ by small %, and some none at all. On some setups we actually flow more then the compressor maps derived since BW uses such small caudal spacing on the scrolls and small A/R's.

So, if there is no % gain from your unit and a stock BW, what is the advantage your units bring? Faster spool?

Faster spool better packaging, ball bearing, and yes more power since we are going to new turbine wheels. The BW turbine wheels don't flow as good.

So, what do you think Precision does with there wheels and housings?

The stock garrett maps you are posting should be compared to stock BW maps, not modified units vs. stock ones....Precision does the same things you do.

Those maps are the stock maps for the BW configurations . We have been able to go beyond them with new setups.....

The FI units are modified, the maps are BW configurations though.

Ok, well that makes sense, kinda - so you modified units flow the same / less sometimes, but spool better and are packaged better?

Correct, they flow less when we stick TO4B style covers on them on lets say a 62mm ETT wheel ....that hurts flow like it does with any compressor wheel from any manufacture. The wheels are not designed to be paired with such small housings. We are par with E-covers and beyond that we pick up power . Also with the new turbine wheels we are able to recover some of the output and efficiency lost from the tiny covers we sometimes use like on the TTI X kits for the vettes.
