Never implied any of you guys were lying, but I have done as much research into forced induction as human being can do and I KNOW it costs, and that I am on borrowed time with my stock tranny and 10 bolt. But unless you have a LOT of money at one time to throw at your car, you just have to fix stuff as it breaks. If my tranny goes, I will have it rebuilt its as simple as that. I also know enough to realized that my stock tranny and 10 bolt could last me quite some time as I dont really beat my car to death at the strip every weekend. Not a single person on here can tell me that it will last ten months or ten days; thats just someting I will find out my own. As for having it done right, I have used the best parts I could get my hands on up to this point, and whatever happens will just have to happen I guess.
I have 2 friends that are gear heads ,1 owns a bone stock 06 Z06 ,The other owns a 01 camaro which has all the boltons u can put on one along with an rear mount turbo making 7 lbs of boost ,the camaro dynoed @ 480 to the rear ,the 06 stock makes 460 to the rear wheels,also the 06 is 3100 lbs ,the 01 is i think 3400 lbs ,or whatever the 01 camaro ways ,anyhow ,they both know how to drive ,there also both 6 speed cars,the vette pulls the camaro in 1st ,when the vette changed gears the camaro was right with the z06,as soon as they changed gears again the camaro dropped a half a car back until the vette had to change gears ,this ewent back & forth like this the entire race ,so i know with 480 rwhp ,not sure what the tq is on the camaro i would think it would be a little higer than 480 ,i would say this race was a drivers race ,the camaro did have a rear mount turbo , & eventually he blew the motor in the camaro & built a forged 650 rwhp motor , now it wont even be close ,Hiis camaro will win everytime unless he misses a gear, fwiw ,the camaro has more than 10k in go fast parts
