Single larger exhaust systems have been proven to make more power over two smaller ones. With considerably more air and higher temps from being compressed, this will become more apparent.

It was just a thought...I was not taking a shot at your build or anything...

I dont think you will have to worry about how minute friction loss you will have at 20+psi of boost

I dont think anyone took offense... we actully considered the oval piping originally. Besides what Josh already pointed out it was also more expensive... the there is still no clear way to get a 3" pipe through the K-Member without it becomming restrictive..

From a flow standpoint... we needed more then the 2 1/4" STS pipe for the volume of air we intend on flowing... we settled on this method (Josh reccomended it and I prefer its appearance) and it gives us more flow diameter then a single 3" pipe anyways... the surface area can add friction (when enough air is forced through it) but the additional surface area also aides in keeping the temps lower as well..

Now I am by no means 100%... but if I recall... we couldnt find a place to fit or slide a 3" pipe through the K-member... but not only that.. we would have to oval it all the way up to maintain the clearance..

Jared, Josh and myself just got back from more drivability tuning. This thing is definately going to be a beast. It made 10lbs of boost at less than 50% throttle, and boy it felt good!

Sounds good. What kind of ground clearance does it have? Got any photo's of it on the ground yet? I bet it is going to roll out for sure.

Glad good shops are building these setups correctly. When we did a rear mount Z06, we were AMAZED at how well it spools...

Good job to everyone involved!

probably wont need to upgrade that turbo for a little while. i think the pt88's are kind of under apreciated. with that same turbo on a 408 the truck dynoed over 1000rwhp. thats thru a 4l80e and tcase.

I'm not most people, I just know what is going to take to get this heavy beast into the 8 second zone. Don't worry Jared we will take it one step at a time

Parish, what did your truck weigh when it went 10.xx with its highest hp?

No worries Josh... I wanna see how deep in the 9's we can get with the PT88... then we can always go with a bigger hair dryer.. but like you suggested last time we talked.. we have alot of tuning to do (to include suspension) to get alot out of this thing...

Parish... good to see you on here too. I dont know if I can chase your truck yet.. but give me time!

truck ran a best of 10.08@136.8. that was exactly 5000lbs with me in it. set up was a 408, afr225's, pt88 with a smallish intercooler, stock truck intake still, stock rails, stock regulator, stock fuel line, stock tb, stock rear end, stock front end, stock driveshafts.

not sure what your car will weigh but i would think well into the 8's are posiable. mid 8's if you could knock 2000lbs off of my weight.
