Default Procharger with stock fans

Have any of you put the stock fans on your procharged car - and if so how hard was it? I just got off the phone with Rick from Synergy motorsports here in cali and he told me that the best cooling would be to use the stock fans and that they have done quite a few.

Stock fans would be the ultimate! However, I don't see how that is physically possible. You need to tell your buddy Rick at Synergy to post up some pictures of how he did it. He would be everyone's hero here who has a procharger!

Its a tight fit when the inlet hat is on, without modification im not sure how a set of factory fans will fit. A single 16in SPAL fan and then a aux 8in fan should do just about any climate good.

I've heard that if you move the radiator forward, the stock dual fans will fit back on.

Moving the radiator forward only helps if you bring the whole entire core forwards. Cutting the support is not for everyone for sure. We do not have issues with cooling here with the single ATI fan.

Must be nice up there. Come on down to good ol Texas. The first time I picked up my car with the single fan I overheated. 3 extra fans later all is good (small 9" Spal, a fan on a/c condensor, fan on tranny cooler).

Not if you want a tubular inlet hat.

I don't mind using the stock hat if that means I could get my stock fans and shroud back on. Can someone who has done it post up some pictures. I don't mind cutting the support

I'd like to see that too. I don't know anyone who has made them fit, even with the stock hat & radiator moved forward. It would be awesome if they did fit. Stk fans & shroud kick ***.

Here's my setup: it's sufficient if you leave the a/c off, or run the a/c while driving at 50+ mph...otherwise you need more fans https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...0&d=1149603217

I need A/C in stop and go traffic on a 100° day. I'm pretty sure I'm going to need a becool radiator, but a becool teamed with stock fans and shroud would be awesome! I'd hack my car a bit for that.

I had to delete the AC to make my BeCool fit. Pulled it out & slid the bottom of the radiator forward & it fits....~ 3/4" clearance with the single ATI fan.

Are you talking about the Be cool radiator, a/c, and the D1SC? Because that is my set up and I still have the a/c. It is super tight down there as I also run the small Spal fan along with the SDCE set up. But its in there.

I got the Spal fan swapped out for you that you wanted as it had not shipped yet. Bob

Hey UL, hows your coolant temps in the summer there in TX while running the A/C?

Yep, same setup. My inlet elbow touched the fan shroud so I deleted the AC cooler. I was worried the plastic would get destroyed from rubbing. And I never had a problem with cooling with 1 fan until my Mezierre's wiring got nicked & the pump quit running properly.

I moved my radiator up as far as possible without cutting anything and also do not have ac and still could not get the stock fans to fit. I have the shortest 90 possible instead of the restrictive stock hat. I don't see how it could be possible unless you use a restrictive short hat on the procharger and what fun is that.
