yes, It's a blower from a train. It's never made a full drag pass though and the guy started the engine and revved it up and blew the head gaskets it makes so much boost.

I heard it was a blower from a tank... Either way, a bit ridiculous IMO.

do idea about the pic, but we have a few industrial blowers that are about that size at work, takes an electric motor the size of a big block to run it

It looks like something Tim Allen (from Home Improvement) would come up with.

I seen a smaller blower on a nova that was still gigantic and they said it took 300hp just to spin that thing. So Id guess around 500hp to spin that rediculous thing....

Unless its from a really old tank. All the new ones use turbines. Either way that is rediculous.. That should go on Jay Lenos tank car.

I heard that it was 500hp. from the crank to spin the blower on those cars. But I could wrong...either way thats alot of power just to turn the stupid thing. I couldn't imagine how much it takes to spin that blower over.

Ha, Ha this brings back memories.

This is a friend of mine......we all use to run Outlaw 10.5 together...he is still single, so he still does. The car has been 4.81 in the 1/8th with a Littlefield 10-71 hi-helix at 23lbs. It is a 509/Glide and 3000lbs

The car never ran with that on it. Never. No blown head gaskets, etc. This was just done for ***** and giggles and its amazing to see how far it has gone thanks to the good ole world wide web.

Mike's dad found it junkin', drug it home, widdled on it and made it somewhat fit for pictures. The damn thing is heavy I can vouch for that.

When Kepner did the video interview it was down the street in a park's parking lot......he knew it was b.s. but it is still cool looking!

They were just a little bored one winter during the off season.
