My heads have 63cc chambers and my pistons are JE flat tops with 2cc valve reliefs.. John you mentioned 3.55's.. I would have to get a 12 bolt fore sure if I do that.. I was thinking of going back to 3.42's or maybe 3.73's for this next setup.. Ok.. You guys have convinced me to stay stock cubes.. Now I am not changing my mind about going custom turbo.. Why did Raymer go with the PTE74 w/ a q-trim ?

Yes but raymer's car has cubes....Go for the 397..sell me your old shortblock have TEA use your stage 1's and convert them to stage 2's as well as the FI chamber job...throw a T101 on it and get a F.A.S.T. system..and call it a job well done everyone is using t-76's and little turbo's like that...go for a 91mm or t101..do something nobody has done yet..I live near you..and I will give you $1,500.00 cash for your shortblock now (no oil pump, timing chaim, cam ect..just want your shortblock! lol) I am wanting to run a G5X2 cam with my current head's and a 200 shot...but I cant fit the G5X2 with my S2 head's without releif's..plus a 200 shot wouldnt last long on my already damaged pistons so lemme know man lol I am in need of a shortblock..and some competition around these part's go 397 man..you would have KILLER number's below the curve as opposed to a 346...and besides..there is no replacement for displacement..ecxept for boost..but what if you had both

I'd like to see more folks build 346ci - 348ci FI motors I think we can do a lot with these motors, the mod 4.6 stangers are running 8's and 9's and they also have a 3.900 bore.
Us 4.6 guys have a wee little 3.55" bore, not 3.9" and a couple have even run in the low 7 second range.

Vince, put some good rods in your current 346, get another pair of heads and open up the chambers, slap a single on there and enjoy eating some Supra's on the bridge.

From what I've heard a 91 or 101 will not fit with the current turbo manifolds.

$1500 for my current shortblock. LOL!!!! Thats not enough to pay for the Stage III 6.0L heads I am getting. I love when people try to budget you to benefit themselves.. You could always come my way and I can jack $1500 from you..

Yeah...$1,500.00 MTI and LS1 speed offer BRAND NEW 346 CI shortblock's with forged piston's,Manley rod's,ARP rod bolt's,new crank,ARP main bolt's,Zero decked block, double roller chain, ported oil pump, cam of choice, fully balanced, with warranty for $2,800.00....so minus the cam, timing chain, oil pump, ect from your short block...add the miles you put on it..and it would come out to $1,500 or so...so WTF is up your ***?..just because you got ripped off by norris doesn't mean you gotta act high and mighty..and I will take you up on that $1,500 bet anytime man...your 420rwhp car has no chance..unless i give your 5 cars and the move..but even then you still better be able to

I was just messin, still I wonder what it takes for a supra to take on a H/C nitrous ls1.

As far as Vince's question, I have no idea. From research, it looks like the biggest concern is keeping the heads from lifting.

OK . . . at what RPM do rods become critical? I want to build my bottom end up and have seen a couple say don't bother with rods as long as you keep the rpms down. How low is down??

Below 6500 for sure for longevity.
6300 would be very safe.
