if you are not going to mess with the bottom end of the motor and limit yourself to 6-8 pounds of boost you are sort of wasting your time and money with twin turbos - throw the procharger kit on it and have a ball!!

P1SC is too small of a head unit. Try and find atleast a D1.

well there is no D1 kit on Prochargers wesite for the C6Z, just the P1 and an F1A kit but for the F1A kit i guess it says you need a built motor cuz it runs 14.5lbs of boost....why cant i just run 7 or 8 psi on the F1A? Could I buy the P1SC kit and just Buy a D1 head unit and swap it out and sell the P1 head unit???

Good questions. I dont know about swapping between the D1 and P1 if the brackets are the same. You could run the F1A/C with a wastegate, but that seems such a shame. Get ahold of Bob at Exotic Performance Plus. He might have some good ideas.

The P1 and D1 head units are exactly the same size. I can't believe you even mentioned a wastegate on a supercharger. WTF!?!?!?!? Only good advise in the post above is to contact Bob @ EPP. He can answer all your questions and point you in the right direction and get you all set up with a Procharger kit with all the supporting mods. And the reason you can't run much boost on the LS7 is because it has such high compression. 11.1? 11.3?? I don't remember exactly, but its over 11. Not within the realm of boost friendly territory...

with the price of forced induction now-a-days its almost easier and cheaper to build a badass N/A motor and a small shot for the rare occasion that someone is faster than you...lol a good set of heads and the right cam id say you'll be damn close to the 600whp mark and reliably to boot.

Easy there. I know of more than one guy that has put a wastegate on the intake tract. Either they bought the setup before they put in the bigger/stronger engine and couldnt pulley down, or use it as a safe guard. The compression is right at 11:1 btw. Stock LS7 pistons have a sorted performance record anyways. Its not only the high compression.

True, but this is also true of just about all the LS engines. The factory pistons are complete crap...

You also have to consider that the APS C6Z06 TT comes with the complete 3" exhaust system, complete fuel system, and upgraded oil cooler system and has ample "headroom" to make 1000rwhp.

Here are a couple pics;

Built LS7 with APS Z06 TT at 12.5psi= 840rwhp with A4 auto

Stock LS7 with APS Z06TT at 6psi = 630rwhp

That may be true of most stock GM pistons though the factory ZO6 pistons are high quality pistons (made by Mahle), it's just that the ZO6 comp ratio is too high to run much over 7 PSI.

The APS kit is extremely nice and not much $$ compared to a 1 off kit.

As for Procharger, the P1 is fine because you have 11-1 comp. That means you don't need as much air to fill the chambers. I have no idea why alot of people are against ATI P1's. We've run them to 800rwhp no problem when you build the combo right.

I thought that the P1 runs out of air before that point? Seems to for everyone I have seen. Not calling you a liar, just wasnt aware. And thats at a safe RPM and not into overspin zone?

We do a lot of the Procharger P-1SC kits on stock LS7 engines, in fact we have a complete, turn key installed package that includes headers, high flow cats, fuel system upgrades, and dyno tuning that makes 625 RWHP That's under $10K

Feel free to PM me if I can answer any questions,
Ed

True, though still a very robust high quality piston.
