D1SC & maf?
Im throwing around the idea of a D1SC on my car and was woundering what the limit of boost on the mass air sensor is? I dont want a SD tune so what kind of power limit and boost limit am I lookin at? Also will upgrading to something like the 100mm maf extend my limitations?

There are ways around it you can scale you car down in the tune like say istead of a 5.7 you scale down to 3.5 but you will need to scale everything in the tune down the same from what I was told I havent done it yet .
And you will be able to do it with a bigger maf like the linginfelter maf it comes with a program for the new maf table in the tune . I know a guy running a d1sc with a maf making over 700+ to the wheels . it can be done .
Most of the info I am giving you was told to me from a very repretable tunner

HEy exotic.. you might have my answer.. I have called around, to other shops- i have a
D1SC car, stock bottom end, head work, etc.. etc. . The mass air flow is a SLP. The car has just been all tuned up 1-2 years ago- but hasnt been drove but more than 5-7k miles.. (sat in garage) What the car is doing is- whenever i go to a traffic light from rolling to a stop applyin the brakes- the car wants to "act" as though it wants to stall.. What im saying is that the rpm's go around 6-800, then bumps back up after the car is at a complete stop.. Its almost as though the car is not suckin enough air though the mass, and is throwing off the calibration.. The car has never has any issues with it stalling out, or a check engine light on, etc.. What ive "been told" is that the SLP mass's are no good for Procharged cars?? oh- and im only running 7.9pounds of boost. ???? And that i should go back to the stock mass air?? humm..? And i looked at your guys web site- and i would really like to get the car fixed, but i hate to spend 500 bucks for just finding out i need to switch to a stock mass air? If anything - i would just need a dyno to make sure of the performance aspect of it- and make sure when i stop it dont wanna stall... GEE.. should have listened to Dad n stuck with my 70 bigblock camaro, instead of the stuff i cant work on.. lol .. can ya help? thanks - Aj
