Default Pics of my ported 6.0 heads

I finally got them back from the machine shop, they did the valvejob, glassbead blasted them, and milled them just enough to clean up the face of the head. What do you guys think?

frcefed98 what compression are you gonna be running with those heads and your new shortblock? I guarantee your gonna kiss your 10 bolt and trans goodbye with this new setup. But hey keep going strong its amazing to see what crazy stuff your car will hold up too. Keep us posted once you get the new setup going.

KraZy Thanks, I can't wait either, I want to see low 10s up here for sure.
Maddboost Great to hear from you, I am glad we are still on the same team. As for the compression ratio it will be coming in at @9.1-1. Yep, pretty sure its going to smoke both. But who knows I am wanting to stay with the 4l60E but a beefed up race one from our sponsors, or a T400 or T350 with a trans brake. If its the latter I will definately have to go with a new rear.
To top that off I just ordered a MMS Crank pulley and will be "testing" it on this block with my 3.4 pulley(no way will I run it with the 3.2 pulley I have on the D1 now) to see where the boost maxes at. Should be fun. I will be looking foward to tearing down the 98 block to see how it looks, I will be posting pics of that for sure lol.

I'm running a 7.85" ASP 8 rib crank pulley and a 3.6 blower pulley got me 9psi...I have a 3.3 blower pulley that came in, that should hopefully get me around 12psi...

Hey looking at the following pic. You might want to knock that little piece of metal off where the rocker bolts come through so it doesn't make its way into the cylinder.

Bigbos thats some info that comes in handy. With the 3.4 pulley and the MMS CP, boost should be coming in @10-12 psi thanks

Sean, Thanks for the heads up. All of the intake ports have the samething. I will have to remove it, but with what? I have a dremel, but a dentist pick would probably do the trick.

Yea, I would use a dentist pick it looks like it is already pretty loose so it should come off easy. No problem

Why do the chambers look untouched, all pebbly and rough. Shouldn't they be smoothed for detonation resistance?

Chambers weren't done, I thought they would be but I guess he(headporter) didn't get the chance. I will have the machineshop here smooth them out and order me some SS exhaust valves.
