Default Almost 700 rwhp with 10.5 psi APS TT kit

Well today we got a late start on my car. Had a mustang on the dyno most of the day and we finally got a chance to put my car on there. I didnt have time to mess with the e boost so we decided to do some pull's as is. The car has been seeing 10 to 12 psi on the road (As much as you can watch a boost gauge and drive). But today on the dyno the intial spike was 12 psi then sayed right at 10 psi all the way up. I am impressed so far since I planed on running 18 psi when the new high boost duct's are done. This is thru a 4L80,stall,nine inch and a 28 X 12.50 tire. So there is alot more left in it. I just need to correct some minor vac routing and put the meth on it. Then we can lockup the converter and run a higher boost setting. I am happy and hopefully it has enuff to run a single digit in about 18 hrs from now Here's a video I threw together and the dyno graph. Nevermind the squeal its my belt I can say one thing. I didnt gain that much power with the cutout's open vs them closed. It was only good for like 3 hp and 12 tq. OK I need some sleep!

That looks excellent for a 480le. So you have a 402.Now what do you have for heads, exact cam specs ,intake manifold and tb,compression ratio. What was your afr and timing?
Where is the torque lines? Why did the one run end at 6200 and the other one at 6500?
Did you notice any sucking closed yet of the rubber intake pipes?

Sorry for all the questions but inquiring minds want to know. Oh and was this on just pump 92 or what octane?

If you were just on pump then with your alc hooked up would expect to see quite a bit of improvement as you can crank in more timing, lean it out possibly some more and of course dial up the boost. I really want to see those torque lines. I find torque really comes up with additional timing.

But don't get me wrong your numbers are already impressing me. Will of course be anxiously waiting for some driving impressions especially how the turbos pull as you go from about 6000 to 6500. The one line looks real good though not much drop off up there at all .After all we have a lot of naysayers on this forum about how the aps turbos are way too small for your 402 or my planned 408.But on the street a bit small is better than a bit big. And if you can hit 10s with "too small" turbos or a 9 then really what does it matter. Most factory cars have smaller turbos than optimal since smaller turbos spool up quicker and widen the powerband where its most useful on the street.

So assume you have some driving impressions or did you trailer it to the shop or thats where its been sitting while you worked on it?

Oh also fighting to decide between nasty fuel system and aps fuel system. How loud is that 4303 really ? My car is pretty much pure street so trying to keep things as stock sounding as possible, within reason.

Congrats, sounds like the combo is right where it should be at that boost level. Is your 4L80E an automatic valve body setup?

Default LS2 carbed aluminum intake verses LS for FI?

Hey guy,I see your useing a Vic jr intake! My tuner told me I'de be better off tuning wise to use a Gm aluminum carb intakePart#88958675 which list for$514 my cost $435 and use one of those adapter plates with a 90deg elbow and TB. I just dont know if this would clear my stock SS hood?I also noticed with the vic jr,It looks like you had to trim the cowl a bit?Just wondering what your thoughts were on this conversion for my APS 6.0 build guy The reason I was thinking of doing this is because Im selling my complete LS1 long block and verses rebuying an LS6 intake which only has a 78mm opening .Ide be about the same, cash wise going with this carbed intake! which I would have ceramic coated for looks plus have that nice straight piece of pipe from intercooler to the TB for meth or AIT sensors or what have you!Anybody done this yet with this intake? Its theLS2 4 barrelintake manifold Part,88958675!
