I would have to go with the centrifical. You watch a magnacharger car run back to back on the dyno or at the track and there numbers slowly fall off, due to heat. In a automatic the magna seems to perform better by feel, but in a manual car you cannot beat the feel of a procharger they just keep pulling. Just my 2 cents.

This one is easy, if you wont to go fast at the track buy a pro, novi or vort and if you wont to have fun on the street get a maggie, whipp or KB.

i have to disagree on 1 thing.

people tend to lump the KB\whipple in with the maggie since they are both positive displacement blowers. But from what i have read\seen\felt, it isnt the case.
The KB (in comparison to the maggie) doesnt taper off up top. It keeps pulling all the way to red. IT seems to me that the twin screw blowers have the low end of the maggie\roots, but also have the top end of the centri.

I dont think u can beat a twin screw as far as superchargers go.

I come from the corvette world, the only thing that has top end is a centi blower and the K.b have not broke into the ten's yet, but Novi's and Pro are going 9's.

there are nowhere near as many KB's on vettes as there are centri's.

i would also imagine that traction is a problem for the KB's.

KB does not have a kit for the F Body. For the C5 I believe its around 7K for the with a new hood. The ATI depending on who you get it from can be from 5K plus change for a P1SC kit to 6K for a D1SC. Thats rough figure 400-500 +/- of course. And most of the time most of our sponsers hook us up. I paid 5500 for my custom P1SC kit with a FMIC for my C5. My maggies cost 6000-7000 depending on if its polished or not. These are not exact figures. By all means that is just the kit. Most of these kits include fuel support i.e. injectors, crank pin kit, and sometimes a boost a pump. Some of these sponser will chime in or PM you with costs. Figure out what you want. Then figure out what you can afford. Then add what parts you will need to upgrade for that F/I setup. Regardless of what it costs for just the kit. They all can get up thier into your budget quick.

It depends what your looking for for most street cars the PD blowers are great for that instant right now torque spike, which is great if you have traction. The KB cars I have driven don't fall off at high rpm like Magnacharger cars typically do. But also they are just brutal and make it harder to control wheelspin.

The Centrifugals make so much more power, even though they have more of a progressive powerband. I personally would rather give away some right off idle torque for a crazy mid range and insane top end power. But then again with the proper twin turbo setup you can typically have your cake and eat it too with power all the way thru and more power on less boost.

I hate to hear that Kenne doesn't make one for the F Body, that would heavily sway my decision if they did. Who does make a true twin screw for the F Body? How are the twin screw blowers when sprayed vs the centris?

That whipple is sweet, but I have searched and searched but still can't find a single pic of one installed on a T/A.

ls1\ls2\ls6 of road kit. There u go. Hood clearance is the only issue, but u can call them and ask if it fits. If it doesnt, change\cut ur hood.
it would still be cheaper then a maggie probably.

If you want good top end you would not like the maggie. If you want to tear the tar off the street you would love the maggie!

A little more difficult then a hood change.

As much as I like torque in the mid range and those sudden torque spikes, if I go off the juice its going to either be a Procharger/ Rotrex blower or turbo.

I like your combo!!!!! I have the same combo, just a little different. 402 with 682rwh and 720rwt at 15lbs of boost. Last year on the street I hit 200 shot with 10lbs of boost, the motor was making around 580rwh and 600rwt with out spray, I was spinning 4 gear @ 100mph with 345 bfg's drag tire in the middle of summer.

Yeah, I think your combo is SWEET! I actually called and talked to you in October before I went with this combo. I hope to hit over 600 rwhp when I put a 100mm TB on. I decided not to put the 8" crank pulley on because I am planning on putting the TVS 2300 on this! I also have rear ovedriven and a 3.0 up front. I think if I went with the same blower set up as you I would see around 630-640 rwhp and close to 700 rwtq.
I'll be watching to see how you run at the track. Nice to see the "turbo smasher" kicking butt!
