I'll be watching to see how you run at the track. Nice to see the "turbo smasher" kicking butt!
That's great!! looks like your making more power per LBS of boost. What heads and cam do you have?

I have emailed and talked to KB on several occasions, the LS1/2/6 kits that they have will not fit a Camaro or Trans Am. it has somthing to do with the engine sitting back further than an engine in a C5 or C6/Z06 Vettes.

there is alot more to do then just change the hood. I have researched it myself and that is what they told me........Email them call them, they will tell you the same as I just described on in more detail.

Would the whipple be better on top end then the maggie? Overall what is best for top end and autoX/road courses?

809 rwhp at 14.4 psi of boost on 93 octane fuel our Mustang Chassis Dyno! Check out the torque at just 2300 rpm! This is with a LS2/402 that we built, using an ATI ProCharger F-1A GTO kit.

Thanks man. So how do these superchargers, say the whipple, last under racing as far as heating issues and everything because some road coarses last a while?

This V was back at our shop yesterday, and we threw it back up on the dyno while we had it at the shop. It was hot and muggy yesterday, and we didn't expect to duplicate the 809 rwhp. We were pleased to see 813 rwhp from our Mustang Chassis Dyno! The new engine is getting broken in, it would be interesting to see what it would make now on a cool day like when we tuned it this past Winter! Bob

making alot of power there but dont u think that 402 is making that 400wtq at 2300 rpm? i'm sure if whipple would make a kit for the vette or fbody ls1's that a 3.3L kit would easily make 800whp with a 402, and probably alot more tq down low too.

The inlet is probably too restrictive then. I know if there is a bottleneck in the inlet the supercharger has less air to compress relative to its rotor speed. This causes heat build-up and thus parasitic loss due to the friction caused by the expanding metal.

If you think about it air is a fluid and if there is not enough of it making it into the compressor there is less of a cooling effect.

I am hoping Kenne Bell comes out with one of their new Mammoth inlet kits for the 2008 LS3 corvette. That should be really interesting.

Well there just isn't enough room. I have a 90mm intake track and the inlet to the blower is actually probably going to be a restriction in the end but I like cutting my car in the pursuit of H.P.

ok i know that im a lil late to the discussion but i have a whipple 2.3 on my 5.3 silverado. the internals of the motor are stock. the only thing done to the motor is up grade fuel injectors pump headers and electric fans. i make 365 rwhp and 435 rwtq. at like 2200 -2300 rpm im over 400 rwtq. the power pulls strong all the way til the truck shifts at 6000 rpm. thats at 9 lbs of boost. ive taking it to the track and hot lapped it and my times where the same everytime so i dont think heat is a real issue. yes having all that torque so damn quick makes a little problem with traction but damn its fun lol

Kenne bell and whipple have units that fit all the LS motors. Whether it will fit in the cars without hacking is another matter.
