The magna is a roots/twin screw hybrid they make power from under 1200 rpm. The pro charger is a centrifugal and starts making comparable boost at around 3k. Having installed both on several makes and models, I believe the magna is far Superior for street use, yes its not capable of 800 rwhp but it makes better use of its power when driving on the street as most of its power is found under the curve.

So for a track guy i say procharger, street guy with stock displacement magnacharger all the way (less **** under the hood as well)

Maybe instead of a roots type, you can look at the TwinScrew like the new 3.3L Whipple kit Dragon Pro Race Engineering has for LS1/LS6/LS2/LS3/LS7 that fits under the stock hood. Its a pretty revolutionary system for our cars.

Cool to see these post come back to life as upgrades and technology gets better.
I love the D1SC for sure, but i was in a 2004 GTO with stock cubes and it had a Maggie
and a 2,800 stall converter. All i know when the guy hit the gas that car took off like it had at least a 125hp shot of nitrous...lol. And it pulled strong all the way to its shift point. Since the car jumped to 90 mph so fast i was too busy looking forward to see what RPM the car was shifting at..lol. It was a lot faster then what i was expecting. So for a street car a roots seems very interesting, but i heard the D1SC doesn't take too long to start making strong boost/power.

Dragon kit looks very interesting. Especially since I want to keep my car right around 500rwhp. I'd like to see more people with their setup first though.

Looks like nothing but a headache in reality.

Twin screws will produce more power and heat than a roots due to it's internal compression. If you think heat with a roots is bad a twin will be worse. Some vette guys running KBs were seeing nearly 200+ IATs at the end of the 1/4. A centrifugal will produce the lowest IAT compared to postitive displacement blowers.

I think for ~500rwhp a TVS1900 would be you best bet. It should produce lower IATs than the 2300 and have even more torque off idle at the same psi.
