So I'm looking at the same thing now myself although just a single, twin or Procharger setup, but haven't consider the Maggie.
My take is a single or Procharger is not going to give insta power like a Maggie which will help with traction limited setups. Stop light or drag racing may suffer out of the hole, since spinning ain't winning. So a little lag isn't always a bad thing. Also with a single or even a twin setup you could run an electronic or manual boost control for traction and then rolling power.
I'm still on the fence, I like FI since I've had turbo setups in the past (FWD 4 cylinder setups though). Although I like H/C setup which can make almost the same power levels I'm looking for with my stock 5.7 (450-500), except less user friendly DD characteristics (lower mpg's).

I run a valet switch on my setup from Lingenfelter. With it on I run only 3#'s of boost much like a boost controller. It uses a RPM switch to control it when the bypass opens and closes. So when its on its on DD duty 3#'s, turn the key turn the switch off and I got 9-11#'s. For reliability its hard to beat the maggie overall.

Here is the install instructions which shows a few pics. The kit was originally for the Lingenfelter SC kits for the C5. When they were putting them out the 6 speed cars buck alittle due to boost in the lower RPM's so they used the switch and a few other things to correct for this. They used a RPM switch that turns on an electricly controlled vacum switch that will hold the bypass open till it hits the desired RPM selected in the RPM switch. At that point it lets it go. Here is the instructions and link to the kit with a brief explanation.

I know this thread is old but I think it's good. Especially with the new MTI charger that has come out.
I was all about the APS kit. It just looks bad ***. I had never considered the magnacharger.
Mine would be for DD or weekend driver as well. 550rwhp would be good enough. Well for a while anyway.

magna charger is your answer
i got one in my car
i drive it in condtion 50 degree C in the summer
daily use car
i drive it everyday
i go to traffic jam
and its fine
i had last dyno and tune on 5 PSI no methanol no NOS
with CHEATR CAR ( because i had it before i install magna ) 520 RWHP 512 TRQ
on Dyno jet
this is for Pulley 3.1
everythin is stock in the car
no change in fuel system or piston or connector
nothing at all just the exhust and the headers
HEADS ARE STOCK
if you wanna play ... THEN you have to PAY
go for F-1C or APS if you wanna pay money ,, but also you need to modify your engine
good luck

Here are my thoughts:
Reasons for turbo:
1) More power potential
2) Better fuel economy (not under WOT)
Reasons for Maggie:
1) More unusual and unique
2) Great sound (I like the sound of a Maggie over turbos or a Procharger)
3) More reliable than turbos (based on what I read)
Reasons for Procharger:
1) Decent mileage... probably worse than the turbos by a bit, but better than the Maggie.
2) Very reliable
3) More common, but that's a good thing when you're looking for help on the forums.
4) Easier on the motor as it doesn't get into boost in the lower RPMs.
Some of this may be inaccurate, but have none of the three. This is all based on research and inference.
