Magnuson vs Twin Turbo Streetability?

Magnuson vs Twin Turbo Streetability?
I'm torn between these two.
Can't decide if I want to do a Magnuson or turbo setup.
My car will see a lot of street duty. About 100-150 miles per week. So streetability is paramount.
My last setup was an LE2 383 LT1 with a 700R4 and 3200 stall converter. I didn't like the mid-throttle response. It was fast as snot off the line or at WOT. But mid throttle from 30 mph sucked because of the tranny.
So now I'm starting with a clean slate. L92 heads on a LQ9 block and L76 intake. Can do forged internals.
Which would be better/easier/less headaches for tuning/cheaper?
Suppose similar horsepower output, which would deliver better fuel economy during daily driver duty?
Haven't decided if I'll go M6/A4/A6 yet either.
I have no clue what an APS even costs.
Twin Turbo similar to APS or Magnuson?
So I guess the question is, what would be the best setup for streetability considering similar horsepower output?

are u against a procharger, no heat sink on the motor like the magnuson sitting on top.like many on here say, Bob at EPP can set u right up with everything u need for a procharger setup. But if it were between the magnuson and the aps , i would go aps.Quality product with pretty good customer service.

The magnusson kit will have the most durability.. its internals are designed with OEM specs... while prochargers are good for top end performanc, they dont have the 100k+ mile durability testing on a consistant basis
Turbo's on the other hand can be reliable and also can be very unreilable.. OEM's go through ALOT of validation to ensure durability.. Aftermarket kits typically target making power gains and NOT durability. (my definition of durability: passing powertrain durability test equalling 100k miles)

I like the APS option (obviously ). I DD my car in the warmer months and have had zero issues. It has the same street manners as it did stock if I stay out of boost. And if I lean into it, the sound and feel of the turbo's kicking in is addicting. After the install I was also still getting 18/24 for my mileage. Can't complain with that. I put 508 rwhp down with my set-up. You could easily hit 550 with it.

The APS twin Turbo and the Magnuson supercharger will perform almost identically up to 7-8 PSI. The Twin Turbo setup is going to be capable of higher amounts of boost, so above 8 PSI the TT would be the better choice.
The Prochargers are also capable of higher boost levels, but they don't start making boost untill 3000-3500 RPM, where the Maggie and the TT start making boost at 200-2500 RPM . That doesn't sound like much of a difference, but stoplight to stoplight, the Maggies are VERY tough to beat!
We sell and install all 3, so feel free to let me know if I can answer any questions,
Ed

4 above post. Get a maggie!!!! I of course am a little biased, but so what. There's nothing like the whine of a maggie under boost, and when the car looks stock from the outside, but whines like that and disappears before the guy in the next lane knows what just happened, it'll put the biggest grin on your face.

That's the first I've heard of that, I have no leaks.
I get around stock mileage with my maggie until the boost comes in and it goes waaaaay rich right now, but I'm still working on it. I did put a bigger cam and higher flowing heads on mine so I lost a little mileage.

Get the maggie... Better yet has anyone seen the the dragon supercharger for LS2 vette's? It looks promising, capable to 1000hp. It might fit under the stock hood of the camaro to. But only for LS series egines.

man that right were i am at. after doing some research though, im going maggie. I want around the same power as you too (550-600). mines a dd too and from what ive researched its will save me the most money on the motor rebuild (again for the power I want), and they are the least problematic. yea they can get some heat soak if you run it really hard, but better than the cooling issues on a hot day stuck in traffic. I def say maggie for reliability need for a dd.
