It will hurt power, but not enough to notice. Keep the build going man!

I should have fleshed that out a bit. Hurting N/A power will of course equate to lower power when you are boosted. But it won't be enough to notice, and the lower compression, even if it is a half a point, will be worth it.

If you are looking for a cheap drop in cam the Z06 one is popular, otherwise I think a custom spec'd one is a good investment for $200 more.

Yes, I had to put a check valve in the return oil line, I still have a problem with it smoking some but I am going to shirk up the feed line and see if that helps then to restrictions.

Go with the restrictors..... I had oil in my pipes and issues surrounding it for a while, installed an inline restrictor and all those issues went away.

I think the turbo will max out before the injectors. People have pushed 800 with 60's.

Oh I pushed my 42lb injectors to 110% duty cycle for 607RWHP... But could run with a decent A/F 535RWHP. I thought you were going for 800? If your shooting for 600 you should be fine with 60's.

Man to hell with that restrictor. I just trashed a new turbo becuse I used the restrictor. I used the one that many people here on this board suggested. The STS WASNT engineered to use the restrictor, call Chris from STS , he'll tell ya the same...

That might be the case with the supplied turbo from sts, but when you put a diff turbo you might run into this. I had the 67mm turbo from sts and it wrked fine the way it was, but when I upgraded to a 76mm I needed to restrict the oil more because I was getting lots oil in my pipes. Once I did that no problems. This is on a single turbo system as well witch needs less oil flow than the corvette twin system. Just my .02

Well, my STS is on my 02 WS6, its got the bigger turbo, and I would think you really wouldnt want to restrict that, its bigger. the STS scavenger pump is designed and engineered to pull three time more oil then the engine oil pump is sending to the turbo.

True, and some ppl dont need restriction, but I cant afford to scrap a brand new turbo just to see if another one dont need one. I dont have the money to keep spending over again. Thanks for the kind words on making over 500.

Ohh and I have another update .. I just bought a 12 Bolt!! so that might put some of the other work off for a few weeks, but I think it will be worth it in the end

So do you agree that you DONT need the restrictor.? Im trying to find out why people with rear mounts are using them. It cant be good for the turbo to starve it. You know.?

I know what your saying but I obviously do NEED one like a lot of other people to keep it from over filling the turbo, and I run an even better pump then the STS kit comes with.
