Yes you need a IAT senor. It affects a multitude of tables in your tune. You can relocate a IAT sensor to the intake manifold if your not running a MAF with the built in IAT. Or just fail the MAF in your tune and keep the MAF/IAT in place to get your IAT readings.

i an't no pro and i tuned my car with EFIlive V2 and i didn't have to go SD.sure is it perfect?no i'm still working on it as this is my first time at tuning a car.but on the same the sucker is running with no prob's,but i know i have alittle more to work at on it.then i'll start retuning it for the AIS meth kit i just got

What none of you is figuring on is hes talking about an LT1, NOT an LS1. So, a 2 bar tune is completely different. No custom OS.
To make a 2 bar work with a 1 bar OS on something like a LT1 there some top secret **** that needs to be done.
Without giving away too much stuff, do a search on camaroz28 and you'll find most of the info. Be warned, its difficult to get right, and its not something you want to be trying as your first tune.
