Default S91 fit problem read

So back in 05 I bought from ProTurbo kits what was supposed to be a T6 GT-42 and we made the truck manifold kit including flanges.Im doing a 402 engine and turbo now so when i receive my new S91 it comes no where close to fitting apparently my old turbo was a T4 this whole time!!! So now that I have this massive turbo not only does the flange not fit but it does not clear the radiator! I can fix the flange situation but have already moved the radiator upwards.Does anyone know if the T6 version of the pte-t88 is still made.Im sure it would clear since its smaller.

Yeah Jerry did the mod I would do. Trim and move forward. Also that doesn't suprise me about Pro Turbo. Apparently alot of people got duped bad by them....

Dude that that sucks ***. Have you cut the core support already? The pic below is a PT88 and it has tons of room. The S91 will fit in this configuration.

It's just a minor set back Bro.

Yes I cut the support and moved the rad up already but it duznt look like we cut it as much as that pic.Mine still has a little lean to it.I guess we could cut more and I could buy another new radiator. Is the pte88 t6 still good to put out some decent power levels? My goal is to be around 1k rwhp

Bro Keep The S91 and make it fit. I have had a S91 in front of the engine and cleared the core support. It may require relocating the flange and setting the radiator back some more. It will be worth it in the end when you smash 1000hp.

I know Anthony Peck made 920rwhp with a T4 PT88 @ 21lbs on his 408 with stock 6.0L heads. It was a radical setup but made good power.

i dunno your cubes but the turbo is 'good' for 1250 at the flywheel in t-4 flange.. i would bet that the t6 version is only slightly better at best but i have no experience with it.

i am getting every bit of it on a 364ci but boost is still stable so it could go some more.. i guess

Its going to be a 402.If I could make 1k rwhp on the t6 version I may do it.I would like to keep the S91 but i dont want to cut so much I lose even the hood latch and have to use hood pins.

Just cut the support even more. I cut my bro's support pretty severe to get his S400 BW to fit in front of his LT1 and we were able to retain the latch without resorting to other modifications like rewelding stuff.

keep the S91, and it'll be a better match for your new engine anyway.

Or just completely remake a new crossover....since you'll have to cut the T4 flange off anyway.

On a 400 inch motor the t6 will do quite a bit better, but the s91 will be a better mach. Ill send you a brand new t6 88 in trade for that s91...just a offer.

Looks like Parish also made over 1k rwhp with a t4 pte88 with a 408.Maybe the t6 would work for my 1k rwhp goal.

Cut the support to give you like 1/2 inch. Its hard to tell by this pic but i got a decent amount of room. Im far away from rad with turbo, and a decent amount away from crank pulley. a 88 would fit np. My turbo is a gt4276

Just keep the S91 and make it work. Post pics of how your radiator support is and we can probably give you a little more help.
