Default House of Boost does it again!! Pics/vid inside

A local performance shop in the Kansas City area built this truck for a customer that said "make it fast". Well a built, low compression 408ci with custom grind cam went in. A built 4L80E went in to handle the power with a high stall converter. Oh yeah then there is the 76 pushing more than 15psi on the brake. Enjoy!:beer:


Specs:Full Forged HOB built 408.
Stock heads for now (But all the valve train goodies)
FLT Built 4L80 with PI Conveter (AWD)
Full HOB Fuel System
T-76GTSH, controlled by eBoost2
Even sporting a Vettes and Performance DP
Brembo Brakes at all 4 corners
Lowered, with huge sways
FBI spec black'ed the F out grill baby
And more rubber contact patch then you can shake a stick at

I am not impressed with seeing a factory air box feeding a 76mm turbo.

Pretty much the whole bottom is cut out of the airbox.

i love stuff like that..its great when someone builds something like that and makes it as stock as possible.

Haha, you should see nicD's setup on his 800+rwhp setup.

You look under the hood and its got the lid on there as well looking like it comes strait from the throttle body but goes under where the lid covers.

I cant see these pics here from my work so Im assuming its something similar.

But unless you know what your looking for its hard to tell.

I do like making something mean look stock as possible. Are there any numbers for the truck? Also I could not tell from the pics, is this a denali pick up or the suv?

Someone better make a heat shield for the plug wires near the turbine. Trust me on this. The truck will make it just far enough to be a real problem before they burn through.

might wanna re-think the 76mm. mine was mismatched w/ 383ci, i can't imagine what 408ci will be like on backpressure. looks great though.

If he is using it as a "truck", it should be fine. For race usage, of course it would be too small.

Well not just that, but its just not very accurate if its not reading the air that the BOV is releasing... If its got a Maf it should be right before the TB.

And The 76mm is on the small side, uless you are looking for quick spool with not alot of top-end.

That isnt a major concern. It may affect fuel economy to a small degree, and perhaps on/off throttle driving if you are a bit silly with throttle use, but generally a MAF before the turbo with a VTA BOV isnt a huge deal.

But it will max out very easily.

I believe it is tuned completely in SD so no maf being used, it's just their for more of a factory install(cleaner look).
