Our tracking is NHRA and kicks at 11.5 and never going to have a rollbar in the 99ta unless they change the rules to allow removable cross brace in the hoop. Current fixed crossbrace pretty badly trashes the back seat.
So once it hits the above or better at track its a pure street car after that.

ONE MORE TIME JM's 402 is running right on border of 9s at only 10psi and will surely be well into the 9s once he takes the boost up a bit more. So the arguements the turbos are too small for a 402 or 408 doesn't hold up anymore. The bigger engine will pretty much mean you won't have to boost up as much to get same power and torque as smaller engine. And off boost extra displacement is always nice. Smaller turbos on bigger engines are often done by the factory. This gives faster spool up lower in the rpm band where its useful on the street, at the expense of some top end power. Course JM's car is already running near 140MPH at 10psi. Pretty much superbike territory already. So if thats limited top end well IT"S NOT THAT LIMITED! LOL

I would rather have a powerband that goes from 2000 to 6500 then one that goes from 5000 to 7000 . Already have experience with similar thing on my 97 talon which has a pretty huge turbo on 2.4 litre engine. Thinking of going down on that one to get a wider more streetable powerband.

Now if you are trying for maybe 8s and over 150mph then you might want to go for their planned newer bigger turbos on a 427 or 454 maybe.

Well the car is being tuned as of right now at the shop. Had to put in a new clutch and having tuning done. Well the shop called and said there was a differnece in A/F ratio from side to side so they took the intake pipe off to check the turbos and found that one maybe a little out of balance and had some play in the turbine itself. So they were going to put a call into APS. That was friday... What happen to everyone elses turbos that had problems with them.

As for motor AFR 225 heads, turbo cam Katech 402 stroker. Ls6 intake. 3.73 gears and T56

Those are good numbers. When we tuned mine it was dead even on each bank. But I do have the o2 blip out from getting too hot every once in a while. But I switched to the denso o2's and they are holding up really well. Those are good numbers and I would be really close to those on 10 psi and a m6. Let us know what APS says about the turbo. If there are no galling marks on the housing Id run it

Ok manual car..same heads as me..what compression did you use? ls6 intake and turbo cam..what cam specs..pm me if you want to keep them secret from the board.
Maybe your clutch was just slipping some ,see how the new clutch does.
guess also might be a bit lower if one turbo was not working right. I am getting very impatient now waiting to do my car but engine has to get here anyway and thats at least a month or so out.
You guys are the pioneers for now.

Gotcha on the bigger cubic in. I guess a 408 with some AFR 225 heads and a nice turbo cam with a Dana 60 rear and 3.23 gears would be a pimp set up. Thats my original plan and i'll probably stick to it.

Hey Tom, You are running a very similar setup to what I have planned. Except I'm doing a forged bottom end. I'd be very interested in seeing your dyno sheet. Are your 317's ported?

Oh..they only make the Dana 60 in 3.54 and up. I am pretty sure will go 3.54 as do want a dana 60. 3.73 is nice off boost though and lots of guys on boosted list seem to be able to go really fast with 3.73s and in autos also. Again JM is not doing too bad with his 4.10 gears.
