Default bulkhead for oil return port??

Anybody using a bulkhead for oil return port from the turbo?? I thought it would be a good idea, no welding required. Anybody see anything wrong with that? Only thing I can think that could go wrong is if it loosened itself and started leaking or will oil eat away at teflon washers or fuel orings?

Its not a bad idea, but obviously you have to have the pan off to do that. In my opnion if you have the pan off already, may as well have one welded in.

i agree with broke ef. If you have it off, pay someone 10 bucks to weld in a bung, and never have to worry about it, and probably still cheaper.

That fitting is a bulkhead fitting for a fuel cell found at summit racing.

Just tap it for 3/8" npt, close enough to a -10 fitting.

Point with welding is. You need to take it to someone to do it, and there is a risk of warpage.

A bulkhead fitting can be bought, and fitted by anyone, and there is no risk of warpage. I used used a regular Earls -8 bulkhead fitting, and cut the inside section short.

Any similar style fitting would do though. Doesnt actually need to be a long bulkhead fitting.

There is absolutely no reason to ever worry about this when its installed.
