very nice kit, everything tucks up nicely and the numbers are great. Quick question, how do you keep the wires, especially the o2 sensors from frying on the tranny? Seems like a lot of wires just sitting there against it and I had to wrap my wires from my header install so they wouldnt melt (learned the hard way). Just thought I would see what others are doing to prevent this.

But putting a turbo on a car, and making it look factory, and work with most of your stock stuff is damn impressive. Great job, great numbers.

I wish we could get the holden UTE here in america, then get an aps twin kit for that. I love that el camino looking thing.

Chris
we are getting the ute here! and I am sure the kit will be nearly identical and fit that also

Hey Peter,

Have there been any APS TT's installed on the 6L80 in aussie yet or just the manual tranny. Had a couple people asking about it but I'm already tired of turning the boost down on the 6L80 C6's.

BTW, I saw an ad for the new Pontiac Ute the other day, www.pontiac.com/namethiscar

Gee, some of you guys are hard to please. Just hit the gas at 2500 rpm in 4th gear and smoke the tires.

Peter

Didn't mean to be uncool. Whats the max psi its capable of if someone had a fully forged 370-408ci?

Also, are those the biggest possible turbos that can fit in there?

Thanks for kind your words and I can vouch that a G8 with a genuine 550rwhp/rwtq is definitely very quick on the street.

Definitely makes a mountain of torque (and from low down in the rpm range) which makes for a very easy car to drive in traffic and for quick acceleration in virtually any gear.

Thanks for those works of encouragement. I'd always believed that the most difficult aspect of designing/building a twin/single turbo system is making sure that all of the haedware is very durable and reliable, especially the exhaust manifolds/adaptors.

I've heard that the Holden ute is making it's way to the US though I'm not sure of the time exact time frame.

Cheers,

Peter, are these similar turbos found on gto?
Correct, the identical turbos that we use in the C5 Corvette, F body and GTO.

Peter, are the TT kits available for the LS3 yet or are they in process. With the G8 GXP coming out over here im sure that question is going to be asked or might have already. Are the TT kits shown on the website for the C6 on the LS2?

The tranny would never get hot enough to be a problem for the 02 wires..............it may be a problem on a car with fabricated steel headers as they don't hold as much of the thermal energy inside the tubing as a casting does. If it is problem on your car, you could wrap the O2 wires with some thermal sheilding material.
