I was thinking the same thing. Hopefully it will be reliable and not need servicing of those items too often. It's not like he's going to have to mess with valve lash settings all the time. How is plug access from the bottom?

You can get to all the plugs from underneath except #1. That is from up top. Actually with the v-bands, It takes less than 5 minutes to remove the turbo with secondaries attached. Pull the plugs and the headers slide out with minimal frustration. If you have it on a lift. Probally not as easy at the track when it is hot, but not as bad as getting to the plugs on a LT1. Hyd. roller so no need to worry about lash.

The more I look into it the belt drive might be too much trouble. The 3 pumps is looking like a viable option. Just a little extra insurance. Anyone have a sending unit they want to donate, so I can start mocking up a holder?

I don't understand why people feel the need to refrain from say how much they spent on builds like this. If more people would talk about this maybe we wouldn't see the 9 billion threads from new people about, "What do I need to make 600 horsepower and how much will it cost?" Not just that, but your money is gone. You already spent it... You can't get it back, accept it.
It all depends on what your goals are and how much of the work you do your self......
$25-30K can be spent rather quick....
Id have to add it up...... But im sure im Over $50K....yeAH IM SURE.....

I understand this as I'm building two projects as we speak. I have about $8k in less than half of the parts I'll need to get my Formula simply running. A lot of people have no clue what these types of things cost. My 93 on the other hand is a budget project. I think it is simple enough to say, "Well, I spent 7k on the turbo setup, 2.5k on the fuel system, 5k on x parts, and 2k on y parts." I try to reiterate that often in both of my build threads even though they are polar opposites. Hence, the BigBronco quote in my sig so people can see it all the time.

I am definately creative in my budget. Even been called cheap by my friends. I hate spending more money on something that I know I can get cheaper, But I will spend big money on things that are necassary, or just plain badass. Like the headers or the TiAl stuff. I could have gone cheaper, but at this point why skimp?

After talking with Lonnies and Nasty, we came to the conclusion that twin pumps and the stock tank wont cut it. So I will be going with the Nasty sumped tank and the Magnafuel 4303 inline pump. Should be capable of 2000+ on gas, well under my requirements on E85.

Just been collecting more parts, EBoost2, 3 bar map, gauges, radiator, intercooler pump and water tank, fuel line,etc..
Looks like I will be doing 4 in tank Walbro 255's to keep up with the E85. I am grafting a Supra 4 pump hanger onto a custom modified sending unit. Just waiting on the hanger to be made.
There is a lot of plumbing and msc. stuff to get everything going and happy in the car. It kind of snowballs with a project of this magnitude.
I still have to go back to Michigan and haul the car down here somehow. Its killing me not being able to drive this thing. Soon I hope!

Hey,
Love your engine size especially for street or turbo use. I have a Pt4788 and custom headers built to go with the kit. Main diffrence is it is a 408 and a sheet metal intake. You will be really short with two 255 Walbro's. If you are looking to make 1000 rwhp o E-85 your fule system would have to ge big enouhg to support 1650 on Pump Gas. The Large Magna Fuel works good or we are using a large Weldon 2345 whic supports up to 2500 on gas.
I am not sure why you are running an air to water intercooler. One of the reasons to use E-85 is that it runs so cool you do not need and intercooler. That means less piping; less space to pressurize and quicker spool time. The baddest turbo cars out there are the Twin 91's on alchohol and they run no Intercoolers.
Suggest investing in your fuel system and selling your AIr to water Intercooler unless you are going to run gas. I will take some pictures of our build and put it on line next week for you to see.
That is going to be one mean street machine.
