I am re vamped the fuel system, moved up to 4 Walbro pumps. Should be enough! I am using the E85 for the 105 octane. Using Q16 for the big power pulls and racing. H2O to Air still required to stabilize air temps, and super chilly charge temps with ice water. I don't think I would ever go forced induction without an intercooler. Anything else, like relying on E85 or meth injection only, would be a band aid. Straight alcohol might work ok though.

Yeah, I will keep everyone posted on the 4 pumps. If it works out, I may be persuaded to do others. Especially if the E85 thing really takes off.
Plug access isn't too awful bad. Front plugs from up top, the rears are easier up in the air. Not any worse than my old LT1.

Yeah it will be interesting to see you pump set up. I thought about trying three later this year but hay, if three is good than four is better

I initially began building a 3 pump setup, and I still might go that route. I have the 3 into 1 merge all ported and ready to go, but I came across a company building the 4 pump hanger for the TT Supra market. I am waiting on the hanger to be built. Then comes the task of adapting to a LT1 upper sending unit and plumbing them.

seriously dont waste your time and money with 4 walbros. it will only lead to tears...
stick with the 1 magnafuel or go 2x bosch 044's, either option will do 1000hp,
i have used the magnafuel on methenol and had no problems supplying 10 x160lb injectors
i use 2x bosch 044 and 2x bosch 910 on our car and that has no problems going 1300hp.
personally i think walbros are great for a single upgrade for 500hp anything over that they are not worth the risk, they are flaky and fail with out any warning...

3 will be sufficent, the 4th is the insurance policy. Heck 2 will cover my street duties. The closest E85 station is 45 miles away, so pump gas will probally be used for a while anyway, with Q16 for track use. So that cuts fuel requirements down quite a bit.

You can also run bosch 044 pumps. They are good for 700whp each. So that should take care of you with your e85. And e85 requires about 30% more fuel than a normal gasoline like 93 oct.
Is this going to be a straight drag car?

Went ahead with triple Walbro's. When I started the build, I lived in Michigan. Finding E85 was not a problem. Now that I am living in N.C. the closest station with E85 is 60 miles away. So race fuel, and pump gas for the occasional street cruise gets the nod. I will post pics up when the sending unit is done, using a billet lower half from a custom Viper triple pump setup.

I dug up some pictures from when we fabbed the headers in the car.
We got it running like this with a stock bottom end LQ9 with LS1 intake, then pulled it out and built the motor.
Don't mind the nasty wiring and fuel lines, or ugly intake. All of that has been removed, along with redoing the brake lines with line lock and proportioning valve.
To show the nay sayers, it does fit!

Doubtful. Bringing it down here next month for plumbing and final assembly. Looks like I will be changing the cam to better suit the heads as well.
We will finish the cold side, intercooler, downpipe and roll cage in Michigan, then most of the fab work will be done.
