just a way to get more fuel in there. those along with 8 of them on the intake only spray at wot. eventually we hope to need even more. when using alcohol you need a lot of fuel.

very fun day at the dyno today. we suspected a problem with our 2nd fuel system and to confirm this we wanted to just tune the car on that system. sure enough it wasn't tuning well. sounded like it was running on 4cylinder once we got off idle. heat gun confirmed this. dynotom busted out his hand held duel trace scope and hooked up to one injector on each bank and right away showed we were not geting the "peek" of the peek and hold on one bank. ******* squirt this made us very happy since now we know what our problem is.

the phased fuel is going to be easy and work well once we get that fixed.

just to have some fun and to test out the rest of our 2nd fuel system we hooked up the injector harness from our primary fuel system to our 2nd fuel system and made a few runs. this means we were running off of only the 8 injectors that are higher up in the runner and we were running off of the big fuel system and on race gas. even though the car will never idle on these injectors it still idled pretty good and was easy to tune.

numbers... 508rwhp(mustang) at 10psi, no intercooler, 214deg peek iats. this was on race gas. we plan on running on meth, not race gas. meth should be good for AT LEAST 50rwhp more at the same boost level. at 10psi i think we are headed for 560+rwhp.

just for refrence the fairmont with an intercooled 5.3/mp70 and the same cam as we are running now was at 458rwhp@10psi on the same dyno. different tranny and converter but it is fun just to compare.

very fun day and thanks to tom at c@s

in a week or two we should have a chart with the dual fuel change over to race fuel and then do another where we change from pump to meth. should be some neat info.

I like those extra injectors in the intake stream. Those mounts for them are nice too.

Nice build, I was wondering what you used for the idler and tensioner pulleys/brackets and alt mount? Thanks.

the tensioner is just a truck one fliped over and reclocked. had to grind on it a little. bracket was off of ebay >> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-02...Q5fAccessories. idler was something they just had at the auto parts store. you can get smooth or ribbed.

yeah. sort of. we got the duel fual all working in the garage but need to take it for a test drive or to the dyno to make sure it works like it should. we were able to use both maps and have one be at 0ve till 3000rpm and the other goto 0 above 3000rpm and it made the switch from pump gas to race fuel on its own pretty smoothly. that is with no load so i think we are good to go, should be easier to switch with some load.

also got some mt drag radials on the car. i think it is just a little tuning away from being ready for a trip to the track.

the car has been stuck in the garage for a little while because i got the floor ready to pour but haven't been able to actually get it poured till yesterday. the guys doing it did it on the side and could only work on saturday but it kept raining every saturday

Nice having the upstairs. We are looking at building another garage and my wife wanted a place to go while I worked.....I'll show her what you have done....nice. We have a 30x48 now that is separate from our 2 car attached and we are out of room.
