Default quickest stock ls longblock? this might be it!!

woohoo. good night at the track. they told us to never come back

many of you know about the fairmont but i will give the high points.

$250 5.3 with unknown miles, zo6 cam. mp70 turbo. turbo 400 with brake, msd ignition with 2 step, megasquirt for fuel and boost control from diyautotune. 8.8 rear with track loc posi and 28spline axles. hp motorsports bolt on rear suspension uppers and lowers and antisway bar. mt drag radials.

a few things that could make the car quicker. stock front k member, stock front shocks, stock front control arms. still have bench seat, full interior other than carpet, still have heater, iron block. turbo is completely maxed. 3200lbs with driver.

sorry for 1/8th mile numbers. we will be hitting up the 1/4 next week. probably only get one good run before they ask us to leave.

Nice, so forgive my lack of safety equipment knowledge, but what are you guys missing? You put a cage in it right? What else does it need for those times?

it has a "roll bar" not a cage. it is just a 6 point. to go quicker than 10.0/6.4 you need a lot more cage including the bars that wrap around the driver. also need to get a license and wear a better fire suit. there are other things to do too but i dont know all the rules. i think the big one is the cage.

the car has been a lot of fun and very reliable.

Interested to know how much boost your running and how much hp its putting down.

I have a MP T70 Qtrim 1.0 housing , and would like to know how much is left in it.

I think you guys could go low 9's with it before you break it. The stock engine is much stronger than most think. Just proves that it's all in the tune and you guys have a very good tune in it

BTW, how much does the 2 step help on building the boost with the Th400?

14psi, 535rwhp on a mustang, 600rwhp on a dynojet.

the turbo is done no more power to be had there unless on a smaller enigne at higher rpm. there might be a hair more in the 60' and another .1 or .2 by droping weight if we wanted to go that route.

2 step and t brake are amazing. we can build as much boost as we want. we left at about 11psi on that run. we did have the 2 step set at only 3700rpm. if we bumped it up to 4500rpm or so i bet we would be leaving at 14psi. we might try that next time. might smoke the tires or break something. track was dead hooking that night.
