Ok the MAF topic again - limits.
That converter circuit sounds like a good method. What kind of set resistor value would allow it to work for the 1998 11,250 hz limit.
You can get Ford MAF's that will do 2400 KG/hr for under $300 and soon ones that will register to 2800Kg/hour soon.
Combine that with this circuit, and it would give you a bang for the buck solution.

If you wanted to dope out your own MAF transfer curve
another option is to go and port a Delphi 85mm. I did this
to my SLP MAF and even a little porting (just dressing off
the casting flash) drifted the cal by about 10%. So I think
it's reasonable that you could get 25% or more range
extension which by truck MAF scale would put you past
the 512g/sec table limit(?) for sure at 12KHz. Maybe not
a big deal but, perhaps enough for some at the lower to
moderate levels of boost? 'Course, you would have to
be ready with a wideband to get the table straightened
back up.
