Default Sneak Peek ! Magnuson LT1 (Video Update)

I can't wait any longer to share my M112 custom LT1 Magnuson project! I am getting so excited I can't sleep! I am about 4 weeks away from dyno fun, and my wife is almost ready for a divorce (just kidding). This has to be one of the the most fun projects for me in a while. Check out the pictures of my work. The blower drive is off being machined right now. Enjoy!

Looks great. Any spacing of the k-member? Any cutting of the cowl?

Very nice!

I love it when somebody with some skill decides to put time into our forgoten smallblocks. I only wish you had tried it out with the 122 or TVS unit. I'd sell my left nut to get one of those on my T/A.

Looking forward to seeing your results!!!

Absolutly no cutting and no spacing! I wanted it to be a true bolt on !!! Even the factory fuel quick connects are used! It is just nicely stuffed under there with lots of room for engine movment iunder the cowl.

If all goes as planned I will continue on with my latest design which has the latest whipple twin screw fitting under the hood! I don't see why I can't get the TVS under there as well! This was just as start with the M112 to see if my CAD. design would really work an learn from there.
I am really pumped because so far everything is going very well!! After having said that I don't want to ("count my chickens") until all the testing has been done on this design.
Thanks again for the positive input!
Cornel

That looks awesome, but I'm assuming no intercooling?
Very interested to see what you can do with the Whipple...

If your design pans out and you get the TVS to work, please consider making two of them. I will buy one in a heartbeat.

If you plan on making these for low production sale, put me on the list now. Of course, this is all depending more on the results and less on the price...ok price has just about nothing to do with it, I really want one of these!

I shall be following this thread with great attention.

It looks as though he has coolant connections on the intake below the M112.

I'll be damned!!! It does look like he has an intercooler! That is all the more impressive that he kept it that low profile with an intercooler...

Kudos!!!!

Looking good. Nice package. Do you have any concerns about even air distribution?

I would really like the credit to have an intercooler in there but sorry no. I have water/meth injection ported right into the blower inlet which will do the trick to keeping the boost temps down. Those fitting on the manifold are vac lines and the IAT sensor. The injection is controlled via maf controller. I do think that it is possible to to get and intercooler in there but I don't think that it will be very effective considering the size it would be. this is why I chose water/meth.

I have made some provisions internally to help the offset blower location. time will tell how it works!

my only concern is that you will likely need to change the bypass valve to a larger butterfly style to have optimal fuel economy under part throttle
