all the th400 guys come in!!!
I also couldn't agree with KP more...I bought a cheap converter (9.5") stalled for 3300....well it would flash to 5500, between shifts it may drop 50-100 rpms and my 60's were horrible..mostly 1.78's off the t-brake on et streets! The car sounded like a M6 with a slipping clutch.
I would just do what most are saying here, call the conv company and tell them everything, they will get you straight. I learned my lesson, don't skimp on the converter, I'm going Yank this time around.
what about the rest of the performance of the car, driving aroudn normally I think it would be very nice, but what about top end?

I personally find my car much more fun to drive with the th400 than it ever was with the t56. I no longer feel like I have to work myself or the car hard to get it to perform well. Even when I take it to the track and make a shitty pass it's still a high 10 sec pass.
I'm glad I did it (TH350 in my case) because I got tired of fixing 4L60E's. I've been running mine for 6 years with no issues at around 900 hp. About 2 years ago, I brought it to a transmission shop to have it freshened up. They looked inside and said it was like new.

Anyone really have to retune their car after a TH400 swap? My car is running lean now that I have a 400. Its only lean in the off idle and cruise range.
Weird. This tune was great for nearly 2 years.

I know it is not a 400 but I have a 4L80E, I used to have a 6 speed, and I would like to see a 6 speed with the same or even 200 RWHP more than I have rape me from a roll

it will not happen!
