well all i know is i can foot brake it to about almost 4,000 and when i use the tranny brake it can stall up to 4,500 maybe a lil higher but then i have traction issues with a drag radial...... im going ET 28 inch drag this time....... when you say flash what exactly are you asking? i kinda forget the exact definition of flash? its when the power comes in if you just hit the gas right?

I went from a M6 to a th400 a few months ago. My car makes less power on the dyno now but th400>M6 from a dig or roll, until I run out of gear. 3.25 rear gear and 28" ET streets so it would still be close to 140 or 150 before that happened.

well a T400 certainly has its advantages for racing.....it holds up to big power very well, cheap to rebuild if it does break, drops ET and 60ft times tremendously...... yeah it will eat a lil more RWHP but you will gain more RWTQ....... the pros far out weigh the cons on doing this....... but if its a street car and dont go to the track much i woudnt do it but if you did atleast run a 323-355 gear so you dont have to turn the motor so high..... there is also gear vendors too! a nice item, look it up! jake

Its a good mod, your wallet will thank you in the long run.
Just dont do it if you are a dyno racer. Its funny seeing the people who had
M6's or locked A4's post their dyno numbers all over the place, and once they go with a TH400 the dyno numbers somehow dissapear.

My Camaro dynoed 415rwhp, but went 10.92 on motor.

I'm sure an M6 has an edge on the highway, but you'd probably have to be going like 160mph to find out. The A3 will take the M6 from a dig to easily 150mph.

Mine dynoed 470 and went 10.5 @ 133 with a 3850lb race weight.

Th400 cars hate the dyno.
