Default Fast Intake & Big Boost?

Anyone running a fast 90/90 with big boost? I want to to push my new engine to 24~26PSI, and would like to try a FAST. Has anyone pushed a FAST that far? Thank's J

I have seen them run to 20psi and am using one on my build but no desire to ever go up past 20 and likely will be running more like 12 to maybe 15psi max. I think some guys used rtv in them to get them to seal at higher boost levels. Be curious if anyone is running them past 20. Most hardcore guys its seems go to the carb type intakes or just run the ls6 or maybe now the l92 intakes. One piece means less chance of leaking.

i heard that they have a problem blowing apart under high boost 20lbs which im not gonna fork out 900 bucks just to blow it up when an ls6 intake will do just fine. IF i went NA then ya i would get a fast system.

whichever you can get for cheap. speedinc's car runs ls2 and runs in the 8s. Mightymouse and KP run ls6 and both are low 9/high 8 cars

Be aware that with FAST, LS6, or LS2 intakes on a truck you have a ton of little issues to deal with. The lower intake opening creates interference issues. You might actually come out better using a carb style intake and an elbow just to avoid having to redo your accessory drive setup.

With the carb style intake too gives you a more even distribution over all cylinders as apposed to the dreaded number 7 being lean from having the excess air at the back of the intake manifold. Another reason to go vic jr, plus I really like the look of them on a modern day muscle car

carb isnt as even as the composite intakes. if you look at it they are actually uneven. W2W even tested this theory with the number 7 cylinder as well

I thought about the carb intake, but I want to go with the composit. What all is needed to make a LS2 intake work? Do they have a return style fuel rail? I will have to get rails any way. Does the LS2 take a different style TB, Or will my truck TB work?

stock ls2 fuel rail is returnless. you could use a 97-98 vette return rail and tweak the mounting tabs. vette Tbs are pretty cheap on ebay

You have the modify the alternator bracket, and change the water pump for the car intakes to work on the the trucks.

Maybe you should wait for the Street Warrior intake. It is composite, flows better than the LS6 and is cheaper than the Fast. Do a search there are a lot of threads about it. It is supposed to hit the shelves very soon!

Edit: I forgot to add it is a one piece design unlike the fast.

Just a forged iron block 370, with ported iron heads. I want to run 8~10PSI over my current combo.
