Default Anyone running an OFI kit with ATI damper?

Just curious if anyone is running the OFI kit with an ATI super damper. My turbo is hitting the bolts on the face of the damper and I was curious what everyone was doing.

Ok, just put the kit on my engine real quick for you and took some pics:

Thats a T6 S91 on there.

Are you sure your pulley is on there all the way? That turbo mount/spacer plate is installed and all the bolts tight?

what about re-aligning the pulley's and and use the beveled holes so that the bolts mount flush?

What part number is your pulleys? They must be different somehow, mine has 6 bolts that mount flush and 3 that dont like the pic. Either way, it should not hit anyway.

Maybe those bolts are just to bolt a blower pulley on and you can remove them?

Can't remember from when I put it together now, but I believe those bolts hold the AC pulley on.

those bolts dont have to be there, they are used for attaching mandrels/pulleys to. just pull them off.

Yes that's what they're for. The instructions say they should be used even if the accesories aren't. I pulled the bolts out and it will clear. I was gonna try to find some lower profile bolts to try.

DanZ28: How much clearance do you have if you turn the crank? My pulley is the one without the a/c pully. 917277

Says right in their instructions: Torque the 3 12-point screws to 28-30 ft./lbs.
They must be installed and torqued even if no pulleys are used.

I have a 1/2" clearance from the bolt to that outer most ridge on the turbo. Turning the crank over does not change that clearance, still plenty of room.

Don't want ask the obvious, but do you for sure have that turbo brace plate installed between the turbo and cross over pipe? I can see if it is not on there, the turbo would be pulled up closer to those bolts. The center of my turbo is basically lined up with the center of the balancer.

Here's a couple crappy pics of the bolt hitting. The support brace is in there. The turbo isn't tightened all the way down. It's hitting the bolt and can't go any further.

I have one here with a s85 and its close, id say 3/16 clearance.

You might consider getting a button head bolt instead of the big head 12pt.

yeah, that doesn't look right.

If you have tried everything else like loosening the headers, crossover etc. to try a reposition, only thing left I can think of is either the pulley isn't all the way seated (I'm sure you checked that), or the crossover is a little off on the angle. Like Jake said, you might get away with a button head screw, but hope you never planned to run a turbo blanket. Have you tried to get a hold of Joel?

The balancer is seated and torqued. I wonder if this is another fitament caused by my ETP heads?

The heads would not put it like this. It would have fit issues connecting the X over pipe, its not going to pull the turbo back at the engine.

What exhaust housing did you choose?

By looking at your pics...I wonder what is going on there. Can you take a pic of the headers and the crosover on the car and send it to me.

You say the turbo is not bolted all the way. Is it b/c its hitting the balancer or you just didnt tighten them yet.

I would like to get this figured asap.
