Default Exhaust system for APS car

My car is getting tuned and needs an exhaust set-up on it. Car is a 347 APS set-up with built tranny ready for some solid power. Looking to do a basic ORY + catback set-up. What would you guys suggest for a catback for this set-up on a street car? Thanks!

Mine will most likely end up with an ORY and my old loudmouth for at least a while. I plan on in the future to go true duals at least if budget permits.

I Built my own true dual 3 inch over the axle system
I have a friend with a 346 who said she lost ~80 RWHP from open down pipe to a magnaflow with the APS kit

i also am in this problem. looking for exhause that will support 1000 horse. was thinking of a custom 3 or 3.5 in y-pipe. into a 4 or 4.5 mide pipe and then back into 3 in out.

Is there anyone else that was showing that kind of loss with a catback. I was going to stick my ORY and magnaflow on my car. But not if it is going to losse that much power.

A true dual 3 inch exhaust with straight through style mufflers will yeild the best power results and the lowest exhaust back pressure.

Good luck with the project.

Darren. How well can you hear the turbo's spooling up with the full exhaust compared to when it was open downpipe? Was it loud but the turbo's sound awesome or just too much noise?

I would love to see the hp curve on that 80rwhp loss. Got any pics??

My question: How much power would you stand to lose with high-flo cats. I really don't want to smell like fuel everytime I drive it. Darren, do you? My girlfriend won't drive in the car if it smells too bad like fuel and exhaust.

Kelly ( keliente ) on here is the one who has the kit on a car with magnaflow/catted Y pipe/ and she lost a lot of power going through all that. It may be ~80 going through the cats and the exhaust together and ~25 is what she picks up by opening the cutout but still going through the Cats.

I can hear them spooling some with the exhaust on. With the open down pipes the car was so loud that you could not hear anything from the inside
it was so loud that you could not carry on a conversation in the car without yelling really loud. My 2 kids were scared to ride in it because of how loud it was.
