Default Relocating alternator?????

I have an old phamspeed kit that uses the stock manifold, if I relocate the alternator is there space to run the downpipe through there??? My downpipe is completely bent out of shape.....

Not too sure but it should help. On my ptk kit the turbo go's where the alt was and the downpipe runs by the motor mount to give you an idea.

Yes, there will be just enough room to put a 2.75-3" downpipe through there, but will be challenging due to the steering rod.

They do and usually end up scaping, I'm guessing is way the poster wants to reroute it.

You should be able to do it. I would keep the pipe at 2.75 to make sure you have good clearance on the steering shaft or switch to a turbo k-member from BMR(this would give you more room to work with). Good luck.

This under the k-member stuff is bs. I need ac or I would of done a truck manifold kit. Maybe the c6 manifold, but there are no actual pics of how the exhaust is routed. any other ideas to run my down pipe with the phamspeed kit.

Notch the k member and run a 3" oval pipe next to where the A arm attaches. Its not as bad as you think and has better ground clearance than ANY Long tube/3" Y-pipe combo ive seen. Once you notch the stock K, reinforce it by cutting a 3" pipe in half and re-welding it in there for structural rigidity. I have pics of my buddies somewhere on my computer and the car has been beaten to death on mutliple types of roads and tracks without any issues whatsoever. The stock K is kind of a 2 peice stamped deal so if done correctly you will not hurt it at all by cutting and welding in a section of half pipe for better clearance, it will still technically be one whole solid peice once you've finshed modifying it. PM me for more pics, i will try to get those to you if you want---just because i feel your "i want a/c and dont want to go under the k member" pain. lol
