Had it dynoed a few weeks ago but found 2 bad plug wires while doing it.
Numbers were 400hp/410tq i think on a mustang dyno. Thats with the car misfiring and only running at 6lbs of boost
Replaced the wires and had Frost give me a new tune, car feels totally different now. So I need to get it dynoed again.

Yeah, not to hijack the thread, but if you haven't seen two lane blacktop then you've got to stop whatever you're doing to watch it. Greatest movie ever. Terrible plot, terrible acting, but freaking awesome cars. Side notes: Of the 3 55's that they used in that movie, one is owned by Jay Lenno, the other 2 were used for American Graffiti (painted black and didn't open the hood because a 454 wasn't around in the early 60s), and one was destroyed. That same 454 was also used for the sound of the TA in smokey and the bandit.
Sorry, lol. End of hijacking.

Holy thread hi-jack batman! ok ok ok, i'll answer since this is like the umpteenth time it's happened in someone's thread.
Yes; yes it is. It's kind of a private obsession. What can i say, I'm a two-Lane fanboy. I have the OOP original DVD and i have the Criterion Edition with photos and story from the website of the guy that found and rebuilt Camera Car 2. Kurt, I don't think thats accurate, but if it is, i didn't know about Jay Leno owning one and unless he bought camera car 2 (which i don't think the guy who owns it would EVER sell it) then Jay doesn't own one (edit: I checked Jay's website http://www.jaylenosgarage.com and found no '55 chevy what so ever. the only 55 anything he's got is the 55 buick he lived in when he was a struggling comic).
That said, there were only 3 '55s built by car builder and gearhead Richard Ruth for the movie Two-Lane Blacktop. He's got a cameo in Two-Lane as the gas station attendant talking about the panel truck with the broke transmission. Of the three cars, one was sold off from Universal shortly after Two-Lane was finished and was repainted white with purple and orange stripes and used as a purpose built racer.
That's camera car 2. For the history of that car see the Criterion DVD or just read this website :http://twolaneblacktop.yuku.com/ the bottom has the history of the car in all it's incarnations from the 70's through today and its all in forum format.
The other two cars were used in American Graffiti and were painted black, had bumpers added, and the grump lump on the hood was replaced with a ram air scoop. Not to mention the Harrison Ford mod, lols. Anyway, one was rolled and burned at the end of the film. They had a very hard time getting the car to roll. George Lucas talks about it in the special features of the American Graffiti special edition DVD. The last car, now known as the Falfa car, was sold off to a private owner. The car generally looks just as it did when American Graffiti was filmed although now, the engine bay has alot of gold plating. read all about that one here: http://kathyschrock.net/graffiti/55.htm
Guide to the 3 Two-Lane Blacktop/American Graffiti '55 Chevrolets
* Main Car 1 - Equipped with a 427 crate motor, M-22 Muncie, 4.88 Olds rear, fiberglass front end, doors, and trunk lid, straight axle front suspension when built. Used for exterior shots in Two-Lane Blacktop, modified for American Graffiti.
* Main Car 2 - Equipped with a 454 crate motor, M-22 Muncie, 4.88 Olds rear, fiberglass front end, doors, and trunk lid, straight axle front suspension when built. Used only in Two-Lane Blacktop for interior scenes.
* Stunt Car - All steel-bodied car equipped with a 454 crate motor, TH 400 automatic, Olds rear of unknown gearing. Used Two-Lane Blacktop, modified for American Graffiti. Burned then crushed in the late 1970s.
Now, what's the status on the eBay turbo kit! I'm really interested since it's kind of the only kit I can afford unless i build one myself.

I can't find where I read that, but you're probably right. It seems like I read though that Jay had the remaining camera car... oh well. Thanks for the history!
As for the turbo kit, has anyone made any good numbers with one yet? How about the Vband connectors. Anyones leaking yet? How bout rust? I guess these have been out long enough for the weather to start getting to them if they weren't made well.

Maybe u should start out with a 3000 stall. I'm not really sure wut brand to pick tho. I'm gonna be getting a custom converter with antibaloon plates and all. 3000 might be a good place to start since your turbo isn't super huge. Wut kinda gears u runnin? 3:08, 3:23's?

I did one of these kits in an 02ss 6speed , it made 500rwhp 490rwtq, with the mpt76, bit this was with a custom 3" downpipe and cutout opened by the kmember, that downpipe with the kit is very restrictive, and I had a helluva time with those vbands as well and getting them to stop leaking lol....
btw this car also had an ls6 intake and I think a patriot 229 cam, but I think he shoulda made more power cause he had the junk 2 1/2 piping and tube and fin intercooler...and this was making between 7and 8psi
