Default CheaTR cam and P-1SC?

214/230 .601/.575 117 LSA
i'll be going with AFR 205cc heads (thunder's h/c package).

later on down the road, i want to go supercharged... and due to emissions, i am considering a p-1sc.

basically what i'm wondering, is if going with the CheaTR cam, would i have any problems if i decided to go with a p-1sc? i'm looking to make 500rwhp with 5-7psi and still pass smog.

thanks for any input you have.

im pretty sure the P1 will be maxed out. go with a Z06 cam and a D1SC and that should meet your goals/ You are going to forge the internals right?

should be a good cam you do not want very much valve overlap when choosing a boosted cam and you also want a lot of exhaust duration so that would be a good choice.

With a blower cam only and 7-8lbs of boost you should easily be between 500-550rwhp. You don't want to go any higher on a stock bottom end anyways.

Yes the D1 is obviously a better blower, but 7lbs is not maxing out a P1, closer to 16lbs if you upgrade to a better tensioner setup But if you are purchasing the kit new, then its better to pay the extra $200 for the D1. Otherwise P1's are just fine.

The cam you have selected seems like it would do good with a blower.

I have a C5 with a p1sc. I am installing a cheatr cam and MTI 241 heads as we speak I started last night. I will let you know how it comes out. My other mods are dynatech headers ported throttle body and fast 78 corsa cat back 2800 vig rpm a4 and dte 342

I ran 8.5psi with just headers and made 470rwhp and 430rwtq on a conservitve tune. I am shooting for 550rwhp with a sleeper set up.

thanks guys!

the reason i'd go with the p1 is due to california emissions - i think the d1 is street legal in every other state, though.

cookba, i will not go forged internals unless (until) i break something.

garrett114, i'll be watching for your results - thanks.

If you look on Thunders website the CheatER cam is very close to thunders blower cam. That cam will be fine with a d1 or P1
