Default Paging Black LS1 T/A: Your fuel system

Could you spell out your complete fuel system one more time please? It looks like my Walbro 340 + 50# injectors still isn't enough for ~600RWHP.

Thanks buddy.
Randy.

And what about fuel lines, rails, regulator, etc, etc.

MightyMouse is correct.

I had to put two Walbro 340's in plus the 55's to support what I have right now. Last time I dyno'd, I was already at 80% Inj Duty Cycle. But, I maintain the 58 PSI level... I don't try to raise the fuel pressure with boost. There may be more in it.

One pump on near stock cubes and the 50's at Sea Level may be enough, but I know a 400+ cubes is much hungrier, and when I went past 500 RWHP, I was at 12.0:1 or better A/F at 6200 RPMs.

Mike, why are you not using a rising rate fp regulator? at 8psi your only seeing 50psi of fp at the rails without it. I bet with a simple addition of a rising rate regulator you won't be running out of fuel at 8psi.

Blackbird, I lost a contract Christmas of last year and didn't find another until almost March. Then THAT contract ended June. It's almost September and all my money is going out, but none coming in.

Until I land another contract or get a permanent job, I won't be spending a lot of money on changing my setup. I want to, but I can't. Anticipating something soon, I've spent money to keep running (things break), but I haven't bought much new stuff beyond getting the injectors and setting up the two pumps (I had to have subframe connectors, too). But, even that was probably irresponsible of me.

I want to enhance my fuel system next (RR FPR, rails, larger lines), but it may take a minute.

Sorry to hear that man. I know how it can be being an IT contractor. My contract will be up for renewal soon too.

Anyway, thanks for the fuel info. And thanks for keeping it real on this board and the "other" board all these years. Much appreciated. I'll have to come down and meet you one day soon.

I hear ya Mike, similiar situation over here. thats why even though I sold my powerdyne in jan I still have not even begun the ati project.

the good thing is the regulator is only $120 so once the cash starts flowing again, it's something fairly inexpensive and easy to add to your existing setup to carry you a bit further until the mondo fuel system can be installed.

$120.00? Give me a link to where you bought it. I thought it was at least two and a half times that... maybe I'm looking at the wrong one.

Then, what other changes? Don't I have to change my fuel line setup? Do you have a diagram of the mods?

That's one thing about this hobby... you must always learn something new, and one day you are the teacher, the next day, the student.

i think he is refering to the CAS regulator from speed inc, i got mine for $120.
think you do have to change the lines and such, might be a redneck way to keep the current lines though.

i think everyone here end up running out of money for their car, probably cause we all spend to much on them.
Im broke again for redoing my fuel system and for my new clutch.

yes, the CAS regulator is what I am talking about.

I was able to plumb mine in at the back of the car at the brass T junction using the stock lines.

just had to rebend the stock return line a bit.

I can snap pics if you like. the install may be considered 'redneck' to some but it has been working perfectly for me for close to 2 years now.

So you just insert the RR FPR into the return line at the Brass-T, huh?

Yes, I'd like pics, just to be sure I understand.

Thanks, man!
