The above link is to a 408 that came in with an D-1Sc on it already. We managed to get 757 rwhp from my Mustang Chassis dyno out of it.

For a 408 though I would use the ProCharger F-1A, which is what I have on my 408, shown here. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com...Car.php?car=12 Bob

Alot louder, what is your hp goal? If your around 700 do the d1sc, its more of a whistle. The f1 sounds like a howling but its extreemly loud, when pullied for 14+ psi.

I love the sound of my D1, but I think for a street car that F1 sounds a bit to loud

Love the great write-ups from EPP, and quality pics shows great work. I have seen the link for the corvette that is blown and running autocross, but was intrested to see how many others are running the d1sc in autox events?

Is there are problem getting power in the low end? Is heat a major problem? Any info you could share would be great.

Thank You

Thanks! Power is pretty much instant, especially if you have a forged bottom end and you're running more boost. Check out the bottom end torque on this graph from the LS2 402 that we have an F-1A on.

If will hold an F-1A without any problems. The 925 hp rating is at the engine, where as we are talking rwhp. Bob

The F-1C would be the next step up, and is the largest I would go with the eight rib assembly. You are going to want to add a brace to the bracket support to give a little more rigidity. I can see you making 1000 to 1100 rwhp with an F-1C on a well built engine, to go past this would really require a cog drive set-up. Bob

Thanks again, great work and write up in gmhtp. Could you please advise what gear is in the caddy and if there are any belt slippage with the 8 ri set-up?

They were 3.73, and it did slip the belt a bit, this is due the lower crank pulley from the gto kit only being 7.00.
