i like my stalled auto,it builds boost quick and stays boosted when shifting...

manual here for high speed events... i.e. The Texas Mile, and "open road" races...

this thread is absurd. there is no difference in turbocharger performance between auto and manual.

I passed up many black WS6 T/A's when I was looking for my car just to get an M6 but now that the turbo is happening I plan on tuning it with the M6 and then swapping to a TH400 or 4L80. And I will have to do something about the 4.10's

What about a trans brake for the 4l80? I heard from a friend that there currently is no trans brake available.

Rossler makes a trans brake for the 4l80e,thats the only one I'm aware of.I have one in my trans now but it has not been tested yet.

Sounds like fun for the very short time the trans/clutch works. Going for 2000 hp huh?

Thanks for the info, no t-brake was making me lean toward a th400 but now I think Ill go with the 4l80.

yeah im putting one of the six speed inc transmissions in it. wanna try to go for that record and see what happens. ive always liked driving/racing stick so i figured id run with it and the motor and see where it takes me. if it all goes wrong ill be switching it out for a th400.

Anyone that says you can't build a LSX turbo car for under $100k to run 7's might want to talk to Phil. He not only ran 7's but busted them wide open at nearly 200 mph! And all for UNDER $40k. Its not normal but it can be done.

Yes a trans brake is available...but a friend of mine got rid of the 4l80 cause it broke every time he used the trans brake, now he's got a turbo 400....he was making 1000+rwhp too..
