3.8L Turbo Guys
Hey all,
Just curious who around here is running a turbo 3800. I'm just looking to get an idea what boost you're running, turbo, cam, psi, HP, trans all that good stuff (gimmie the whole 9 yards). Thanks in advance and I hope this post flies on a ls1 board!

I dont know the member's name but someone on here ran 8.95@156mph with 3.8L TT Firebird.
I'm very sure about this his car and setup were sick as hell.

I am. My car is all stock, besides tuning, 57# injectiors, hot and cold side, and meth injection. The valve covers have never been off. No weight reduction, with a system to make it a good driver. I put the kit on it at 115k and it now is at 128k. I run a lot of boost, usually 20+ to make good power, but the thing is sick for a v6 car and dead reliable, except for the drivetrain. I have broken the 2 piece drive shaft, a rear, and trans in the past 2 years. I have never dynoed it but should be around 400whp I would guess. The only other things I have done is the rear suspension and drag radials.
The car has gone a best of 11.6 @119 mph with a 1.6 60', with more left in it ET, wise. As for power it's pretty much maxed out because of the smallish turbine.
Check out my fquick, it has all of my specs, with vids. www.fquick.com/1SICK6

there are many v6 runners here on this site, most you already know about.
and yes, most run more boost than you are currently running.
Dan (turningfast) is one,
Andy (turbov6camaro) is on of the more popular guys.
pat (linx) is another bad *** rig.
myself...DD 18lbs all day long and 20-22lb and 20* timing in kill mode.

Well aware of that car.... infact he was the mechanic that built my car. For the record it was 8.991 @ 152.12. I was looking for OTHER cars like mine.
Relax.. no need to capitalize the search line, I'm well aware of the Search button on the top of the page and how to use it. I was looking for active members that had similar builds.

I got a SC 3.8 in my GTP.
You could drop one in your car, build it for less then you turbo kit, and make more power then 240. They're 220 stock. Intercooler alone is 50hp for $800 bucks. with that you can run a 2.8 pulley and be over 300hp already. Just something to think about

surprisingly, the 3.8L ford motor is WAY more stout than the same size GM motor.
Just throwing that out there, from a guy who thought about turbocharging both his V6 mustang and his V6 camaro.
I would LOVE to get a little project car and turbo the **** out of a 3.8L Mustang, but alas I have no money.
