Fuel system for 550-600 rwhp Magnacharger?
Just doing some last minute shopping to make sure I have everything I need. I don't have much experience with upgraded fuel systems.
I have my 69 Camaro tank sumped already
I have a T-Rex inline pump
42# injectors (come with Magnacharger)
348ci forged LS6 9:1 with custom Magnacharger (intercooled)
looking to make 550-600 rwhp
What size fuel line?
Injectors big enough?
T-Rex big enough? What is its limit?
Thanks
Tony

Get the speed inc fuel rails....
The injectors should be alright....
Not sure about a pump for that setup....my setup would probably make well over 600rwhp through a 6-speed, I'm using a 255inline and 255intank, hotwire kit, and a CAS regulator...

The magnacharger comes with custom fuel rails.
Please, I need advice on my current setup. As I said, the tank is sumped already. Anyone know how much a T-Rex can handle? I'd rather stick with external fuel pumps since I'm sumped.

I'd run one good external pump, I'm not that sure an inline pump will really add if you get a decent external pump.
My pump is not for example what I would call a street pump. I would need to get a stepdown box to make it streetable. By using the stepdown I cut my voltage to the pump down and it won't run as hard.
I hear Bosch pumps are pretty streetable, I hear decent things about certain Aeromotive pumps too. I'd make sure you get a STREET pump.
You'll need at least 42 lb injectors.

IMO that t-rex will not cut it if you plan on amaing that kind of power. I would either get a aeromotive or some kind of 255lph inline pump. WHt kind of internal fuel pump do youhave in the camaro?.

T-Rex is not gonna do it.
Go with PSJ's suggestion, if your sumped already get a nice big ol external and be done with it.
Just be warned alot of those f'rs are LOUD.
42's and 600rwhp???? sounds awfully risky to me.
I would either lower my goal or up the injector size

If it were me....
42's will get you to 600 RWHP turbocharged. I'm guessing you'll lose about 40 HP at the crank spinning the blower. Assuming a 6 speed, you should expect 700 to 720 HP at the motor to get were you wanna be.
boosted and taking the high end of expected power...
you're gonna need about 400 lb/hr of fuel delivery, 720 crank and about .55 BSFC.
with 8 injectors, that's about 50 lb/hr each a static flow. 42's at out standard 4 BAR rail pressure are a hair under 50. That's too close for me.
you can up the pressure, or step to a 50 lb/hr rated injector.
DEFINATELY run a 1:1 manifold referenced regulator. If you're on the edge for injectors you don't wanna mess with a changing delta pressure across the injector.
again, assuming 400 lb/hr delivery, your pump(s) need to be up to that for the expected rail pressure.
normal pump fuel is about 6.4 lb/gallon, a single walbro 340 can supply ~58 gallon/hr at 70 psi (standard base pressure plus 10 psi of boost) That's 371 lb/hr. another reason you can't make 600 rwhp reliably on a 340 (side note )
For streetable pumps, run a pair of external (ie inline Bosch or walbro). Parallel the pumps, and just run them both all the time. Make sure you get 255lh high pressure pumps and have a solid supply wire to both of them.
-8 feed, -6 return on plumbing size.
but that's just me

Harlan you mentioned the supply wire but, forgot to say make sure they have a good GROUND also. :p
I like the dual walboro idea in parallel. Most single pumps capable of that flow by themselves are FREAKING LOUD!!! What....What'd you say....Huh, I can't hear ya.

I like Harlans idea with the dual inlines in parallel and the regulator/feed and return line sizes he mentioned.
I would look at 50# injectors as well if possible.
Good luck!

Tony - If the Siemens 57#ers(43.5psi) are available still they drive very nice, even in a wimpy little 5.3L. They are the biggest you can get without getting an impedance converter box. Here is a link. They'll take care of that Magnacharger and have plenty of room left over.

Oh Yeah, Are those the same 42# injectors that the Truck kit uses or are the the normal Fbody type?? Something to check on because the truck ones won't work on your car with a standard LS1 harness. Also, what pressure are they rated at?

Re: Fuel system for 550-600 rwhp Magnacharger?
you want loud go with the aeromitive eliminator pump, lol what fuel pressure will you be running at? I have run the eliminator pump, at 45 psi of fuel pressure its good for 900-1000 rwhp, the A1000 is a step down from that and I beleive its good for 700 rwhp or so, it will vary by the fuel pressure you are going to run, the closer to 45 psi you get the more possible fuel volume you will acheive. to acheive that FP don't run a boost reference, since it will up your psi. or do run a boost reference and get the big pump.
I also run a -10 feed -6 return with an A1000 regulator.
I hear good things about weldon pumps but don't know how streetable they are......
the parallel 255s is a good alternative, find out how you can do that external and that may be a cheaper, quieter route.

Forget about the T-Rex. It's not up to the 600RWHP task. I don't think Vortech intended that pump to be taken as far as some of us Vortech'd guys have been trying to push it. I'm taking mine out. I'm about to switch to dual Walbro 340's.

The Delphi / MSD 50's do not mix well with the LS1 PCM, don't like high DC's and would be marginal for your HP level. The Siemens 3172 injector would be a better choice.
Dual in-line Walbro 255L/Hr pumps are a good choice as far as external pumps are concerned. They are quiet, affordable and reliable. If you use TFE braided line -6 will suffice for a feed and last longer than rubber braided line. Racetronix stocks the Walbro GSL392 as well as Walbro fittings and custom PnP f-body wiring harnesses.

I run the weldon 2025 with a -8 feed and -6 return with 65lb injectors (3 bar scale rated) I run a filter before and after the pump, I also have the speed inc fuel rails and fuel tank. And Im making 600 with no issues,
