Default Boosting a 5.3

hello everyone. first of all i drive a 90' SS454 but i just got a good deal on a 5.3 out of a 99 silverado with the manifolds still bolted up. i was thinking about doing boosting the 5.3 and putting it in my truck. Im really only looking for 450-500 wheel horse. Wat size turbo should i be looking for and how much boost should i need to see my goal? Also what mods to the motor should i need? injectors etc ? .. im new to the ls1 scene and boosting them .. any links or info would be great. not looking to make crazy power. i basically just wanna make turbo and blow off noises on the street lol . thanks

Im running a stock 5.3L shortblock, I used 6L heads to drop the compression. 15psi and it puts around 600hp to the wheels. I use a MPGT-45 turbo and 60psi injectors.
Its been a reliable cheap combo for 2 years now. I seen a few others on here with 5.3s, using T67-T70s and making about the same as me and even more.

so really all i need to do is upgrade the injectors, make sure my fuel system is up to the task and get a good tune on it ? run a t70 at about 10-12psi and i should be good to go ? ill probally go to a ls6 intake just cuz the stock 5.3 one is ugly ..

Compression on the 5.3l is low and 500 to the tires on a stock unit should be very reliable for a good bit of time.

boost comes in at 3900 and I cant determine any time difference between boost start and full boost really....as soon as it makes boost.....its seems to make it all...which to this point has only been 10 lbs
