Default St80 Results Inside!!!!!!

Quick re-cap of my build for newbies :

370ci LQ9 ~9.1:1
AFR 225
Big reverse split cam
T4 ST80 w/ race cover and 1.1ex
TH400 w/ fuddle 3k stall
9" rear
Alkycontrol dual nozzle kit

Tune went GREAT. Rick at Synergy Motorsports tunes my car for those who don't know. Car made 12.5psi on the 10 lb WG spring. It was pointless trying to tune it on the street since it spins too hard to load it properly so he used his dyno pack ( I think he was scared ). He says the numbers are COMPLETELY insignificant considering how his dyno loads my car and that I have an unlocked converter TH400.

Car maxed his dyno on the first pull but that is just from the converter flashing and turbo hitting so hard/fast. He had to tune it rolling into the throttle very easily. A/F is low-mid 11s all the way across @ WOT. He said it is MUCH stronger than my last set-up and should be able to drive into the mid 9s once I get A LOT of seat time. For those who are caught up on imaginary numbers: 699whp/975wtq rolling into it. But again, these are just "numbers". More than enough power for me to get used to the car again. It is quite dangerous as it is. Any more boost and it needs to be tuned on a track or dyno dynamics dyno.

Big thanks to the following for all of their help on this build:
Matt @ Caliber Customs for all of the fabrication/install
Elky489 (Nathan) @ Fresno Performance for the engine build
Rick @ synergy for the tune
Jose/crew @ forcedinductions.com
Julio @ Alkycontrol
And the many sponsors who I have made rich over the past year getting back on my feet

Questions?

Glad to see your car back up and running. I think you're one of the few that have worse luck then me.

Did you guys not read his post?? Thats a converter spike!

Nonetheless, nice work man on a killer build. Guess the headaches and hassles arent a big deal and are well worth it now...and plus you can tell people it made damn near 1000 lb ft of torque and watch their jaws drop

Can't wait to hear some track times

Glad you like your ST80........that torque # is sick...lol A unlocked TH400 will eat hp BIG time. 700rwhp with that tranny unlocked is BIG #'s with a 6spd.

Hey DrTurbo, is this a pretty common or 'expected' rwhp figure for similar combinations with T4 ST80 units? I know the numbers don't really count for much, but 700hp thru a th400 is pretty stout regardless.

I guess what I'm getting at is would a T4 ST80 be overkill or too big for a 347 inch motor? How does the case size compare to a 76GTS?

I used to have a T76gts and my ST80 bolted right onto my crossover. It couldn't be ANY bigger though. The turbo would be grat for a 347 IMO......with a TH400 of course
